Alice In Chains Adds New Singles and Old Favorites

You know what people like? Alice In Chains. The band formed more than 20 years ago, released three albums, and then went pretty quiet. Almost 14 years later, they have put out their fourth studio album, Black Gives Way to Blue, and it debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200. They have a tour planned for February and March, and 17 of the 31 dates are already sold out. Color me impressed!

“Your Decision and “Last of My Kind,” both from Black Gives Way to Blue, which sold 126,000 copies in the week of its release, will be available for download as part of “Alice in Chains Pack 02” beginning Jan. 12. Spanning the career of the band, there’s also a song off Alice In Chains’ debut album, Facelift, with “We Die Young.”

And, for the first time, tracks from the band’s third studio album, Alice in Chains (1995), will be available in Rock Band – “Grind” and “Heaven Beside You.” I remember when this album came out. I was in middle school and just starting to get into music that wasn’t made 10 to 20 years before I was born, and I’m psyched to be able to reconnect with these tracks in an interactive way with Rock Band.

These tracks will be available for purchase as “Alice In Chains Pack 02,” as well as individual tracks on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system, and as individual tracks on Wii. Individual tracks are $1.99 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and $2.00 on the Wii. The pack is $8.49 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. They will be available January 12th on Xbox 360 and Wii, and January 14th on PlayStation 3 system.
