Green Day: Rock Band is available in stores now for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii! The game features 47 on-disc songs and will work with the six Green Day songs previously available in the Rock Band Music Store.
Green Day: Rock Band allows players to play as Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, or Tré Cool as the band progresses from the early days starting with Dookie all the way through arena shows for American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown. The game includes unique venues from Green Day's career, as well as a look at their style through the years.
The game is an exciting musical experience for Rock Band and Green Day fans alike. Don't take our word for it; see what Green Day has to say:
“I think people will be hopefully impressed with the pictures and video we’ve included from throughout our career,” said Billie Joe Armstrong, vocalist and guitarist for Green Day.
“We thought we could have a lot of fun making a Rock Band game and highlight different times in our career, since we’re using so many songs,” said Mike Dirnt, bassist for Green Day. “We just thought it was a cool way to show people something different.”
“There will be some people who know every single song on the disc, which is awesome,” said Tré Cool, Green Day’s drummer. “But for those who don’t, it’s a great way to discover some of the older material.”
Green Day: Rock Band is available in stores now for $59.99 for the standalone game for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, or $49.99 for Wii. Green Day: Rock Band PLUS for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is $69.99 and includes special packaging, a song export key to export all songs on disc to your hard drive to be played in Rock Band, Rock Band 2, or the forthcoming Rock Band 3, as well as the six previously released Green Day DLC tracks.
