Ever wanted to have one of your tracks authored for the Rock Band Network? Ever wish you could collaborate with super megastars OK Go? Now you have a chance to win both!
OK Go is partnering with Indaba Music and the Rock Band Network for a contest unlike any other. Contestants will remix OK Go's new single "White Knuckles" with the winning remix receiving a unique grand prize - their remix will be authored into a Rock Band Network track by The Authority, a premier RBN authoring group. The track will be released for Rock Band 3 in late November, and the winner will also receive a copy of Rock Band 3 with the instruments and gaming console to go with it, plus a copy of OK Go's new album, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky (Deluxe Edition). And, in what may be the most interesting signed prize ever, a set of signed ping pong balls from OK Go's music video.
Each week starting today and running through October 14, OK Go's producer, Dave Fridmann, will choose his favorite remixes and feature them on OK Go's website and other web locations for fans to download. The winner will be announced October 29th.
If you've never remixed a song before, Indaba makes it easy to create your entry without a lot of experience. If you're a remixing master, you can get the stems and make your remix in any program you're comfortable with.
