Rock Band 3 is In Stores Now!

The wait is over! Rock Band 3 is in stores now. Get your copy at local video game retailers, or order online.

Rock Band 3 features 83 songs from the world’s best artists, and allows access to the existing Rock Band Music Library of over 2,000 songs! Classic songs like “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, “Sister Christian” by Night Ranger, “Imagine” by John Lennon, and even “Free Bird” by Lynyrd Skynyrd are just some of the songs from this epic setlist. And for the first time ever, Rock Band players can join the band on a keyboard, a brand new peripheral for Rock Band 3. With classic keys songs from The Doors, Tears For Fears, and more, Rock Band players have a whole new instrument to rock out on. Players can choose between Keys and Pro Keys – Keys follows standard five-button gameplay similar to previous Rock Band titles and Pro Keys features pitch-accurate keyboard performance across a two-octave range, displayed on an easy-to-read keyboard track.

Fans of The Beatles: Rock Band and Green Day: Rock Band’s harmony vocals will be excited to know harmonies are available in Rock Band 3. Up to three players can sing at once, expanding the band to seven players and making Rock Band 3 the ultimate party game.

There are also exciting all-new gameplay modes:

Pro Guitar and Pro Bass empowers players to develop actual musical skills through the fun of classic Rock Band gameplay – start on Easy and work your way up to Expert to develop your guitar and bass skills.

Pro Drums adds cymbals into the charted gameplay, making Rock Band drums even more realistic than before.

Party modes: For the casual player, Rock Band 3 has great new party modes that allow fans to get rocking with friends quicker than ever, including party shuffle and persistent drop-in/drop-out and difficulty selection from any gameplay screen.

Career Mode: For the serious player, the revamped Career Mode features 700+ goals and rewards and seamless leaderboard integration for an endlessly deep campaign experience. And all your career progress and goal accomplishments will sync to your linked RockBand.com account.

Just got the new rock band 3 and played it. Takes a little getting used to, but to export songs from rock band 2; why do I have to pay an additional 800 points to transfer songs that I already paid for on the old disk to a disk that I paid 60 dollars for? Seems like a little got you by the cajones to me.

This Game Is Fun. Some Songs Are Good. Pro Mode Is Good. But A KEYBOARD AND NO DREAM THEATER? Seriously?

Why is tour mode gone and replaced with this weird interface and goals? Just why would you do this? I don't like it. Also, 2/3rds of this setlist is boring stuff I've never heard of. This wouldn't be a big deal if more dlc was made for bands I care about which are mostly big name bands, not indie crap. This is me being 100% honest so don't flame me. This is my opinion as I am entitled to.

If I have purchased content but i dont have rb2 and i will get rb3 can i still purchase dlc from rb3

Oh & having a hometheater makes my RB 3 sound better since i'm using a PS 3 the tru digital hi-def console 360 low grade piece of crap i can do more with my PS 3 it's run thru a 950 watt 9.2 reciever with a 55 inch tv & a 320 gb PS 3 so ya RB 3 looks & sounds kick a** thank you rock band for the great game.

I'm now a proud owner of rock band 3 & i got to say it's awesome even with the few draw backs like importing rock band 2 & lego rock band we spent $6 dollars for a RB import key 2 years ago that stated for furue RB games & then we got ripped off as soon as RB 3 came out stating we now need to spend $10 dollars 2 carry over lego RB & RB 2 wat a rip off they should give us 2 free songs of our choice to make up for the $^ dollar import but that'll never happen there all bout the money now plus they ruined the tatoo,equipment & hair customizing optios the infact took it away with very lil designs & equipment pieces even the hair but it's all good the game is still good now they want keyboard songs & groups how bout more journey like a pak fleetwood mac( gypsy,rhianon plus more badcompany espeacily there song badcompany also these groups tool.def leppard,eagles,heart,godsmack,sevendust,mudvayne,more hinder heck classic & hard rock plust metal no punk,indie,nuwave period lets see some good music from now on ok well i hav more music suggestions but i'll wright more out later thank you for RB 3 now get us some more good rock & metal.

Yeah now if only the game didn't mess with your DLC...

Negative comments are in order, when playing with a full band, (on guitar/bass) it seems the note area is smaller than usual. don't like it, feel squeezed. These obscure band songs are really the biggest gripe I have. Don't like paying for songs that I won't ever play because they blow. IE:Poni Hoax, Lasso, etc. Then you take good bands and put B tracks on. I know it's all about the money for the rights, but stop putting fillers in. Next bad band HMX will find (Donnie and the door knobs), who are they?I made it up, but will probably be on RB4. Put the obscure bands on RBN and let the 14 people that like the obscure stuff buy it from there. you really need to research the demoghrapics that are buying and not what your targeting, I'm willing to bet your paycheck plus $10,000 dollars that more people downloaded stuff from hendrix,crue, STP and the likes, than Pretty girls make graves and juanes.(care to take the bet?)um, I didn't think so. RB3 is fun and koodos for the hard work it took to develop, I know you can't make everyone happy,but these concerns will be echoed i'm sure.

Congratulations to Harmonix! Lot's of negativity in the forums over pretty minor issues for the most part, overshadowing was is turning out to be a fantastic game. I won't stop playing for years.

It's finally here! Just curious if there's any chance of extending the free song offer. I preordered this on September 19th but due to shortages it won't ship until November 1st, let alone arrive at my house in time to take advantage of it. Anyway, thought it couldn't hurt to ask.

This is a great game even if you don't have the keyboard or pro guitar. (yet)

Congrats on getting it out the door, hopefully it will arrive at my door on Friday.
