After competing against thousands of bands in the Star Trek Ultimate Battle and signing up for the contest on RockBand.com, Timothy Treadwell’s Breakdown won with 1,574,635 points. Band members Bryan, Travis, Chad and Sean “set their phasers to stun” everyone else on the Beastie Boys’ “So What’cha Want” to “beam themselves up” to #1. They “photon torpedoed” their closest rival by almost 2,000 points and managed to “Klingon” to the top spot.
Timothy Treadwell’s Breakdown fought off many “Enterprise-ing” competitors and will be rewarded with a private hometown screening of J.J. Abrams’ new Star Trek movie (opening May 8th, 2009) for them and a theater’s worth of their closest friends. After the screening, they’ll be “captain’s logging” the experience with the Rock Band community in their very own ‘Zine article.
