Cambridge, Mass. – October7th, 2011 – Harmonix today announced that a 3-pack from pop punk rockers Blink-182 and aclassic single from The Clash will be available beginning October 11thin the Rock Band 3 Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3computer entertainment system and Wii™.
Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs andalbums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than900 artists and more than 3,000* tracks via disc and download purchase(complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’s gigantic music library dwarfs that of anyother rhythm video game on the market. More than 100million songs have been sold through the Rock Band Music Store since itslaunch Nov. 20, 2007.
Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360®, PlayStation®3 system and Wii™
This week’s Blink-182 track pack adds threesongs to an already impressive existing catalog of 10 playable songs in RockBand!
“The Party Song,” from 1999’s criticallyacclaimed Enema of the State, leadsthe pack. It’s followed by “Stay Together for the Kids” from the band’s fourthstudio album, 2001’s Take Off Your Pantsand Jacket. The pack is rounded out with the single “Up All Night” from therecently released and highly-anticipated Neighborhoods,the band’s first studio album since 2003.
The Clash’s 1982 hit single, “Rock theCasbah,” will also be available. This classic track, the English punk pioneers’highest charting single in their legendary career, will also have an optionalPro Guitar/Bass upgrade available!
As always, songs available as downloadablecontent for Rock Band 3 featurefive-button guitar and bass parts, drums, Pro Drums, and keys, Pro Keys andharmonies, where applicable. Some songs also feature Pro Guitar and Pro Bassupgrades available for an additional $0.99 upgrade download.
