Winners of the OK Go Rock Band Network Contest

Harmonix Music Systems and MTV Games today announced the winners of a competition, in conjunction with Indaba Music, that invited fans to remix the newest single from OK Go, the most downloaded band ever, for the Rock Band Network.

Contestants remixed OK Go’s newest single “White Knuckles,” and the winning entry will be authored into a Rock Band Network track by The Authority, available for purchase through the Rock Band Network Music Store later this month. The winner will also receive a copy of Rock Band 3, an Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, as well as Rock Band instruments, including drums, guitar, keyboard, and microphone, plus a copy of OK Go's new album, Of the Blue Colour of the Sky (Deluxe Edition).

3rd Place: http://www.indabamusic.com/submissions/show/30088

The winners were chosen by OK Go's producer, Dave Fridmann, who chose his favorite remixes to be featured on OK Go's website each week during the contest. These remixes will also be made available for fans to download accompanying pre-orders for the Nov. 2 U.S. release of Of The Blue Colour of the Sky (Deluxe Edition).

Grammy® Award-winning band OK Go – comprised of Damian Kulash, Tim Nordwind, Dan Konopka and Andy Ross – was formed in Chicago in 1998 and currently reside in Los Angeles. They are currently touring North America in support of Of The Blue Colour of the Sky. OK Go’s hit single “Here It Goes Again” was featured on Rock Band and is also playable in Rock Band 3, thanks to the export technology Harmonix pioneered.

For the music video for “White Knuckles,” OK Go, whose previous music videos became Internet phenomena, worked with some amazing collaborators – in the form of four-legged rock stars. The video, filmed in one take, received more than 1 million views in the first 24 hours it was posted, assisted by the canine costars. As most of the dogs in the video are rescues, the band is donating a portion of proceeds from the sale of the video on their site to animal rescue in the United States.
