The local radio station here is giving away a once in a lifetime opportunity.... a chance to have a 'meet and eat dinner with Trent Reznor'. HOLY CRAP!! You pre-register, your name gets put on a list. You show up to this bar the night before the concert, they verify your name on that first list and if you're on it, then you get put into the actual drawing... so basically you have to sign up and SHOW up to be in the drawing (so i'm also hoping most people dont notice that part). They'll also be giving away backstage passes and such in this drawing too.

I cant believe it, how exciting! I've been listening to NIN for a loooooong time (think PHM time era) and I'll be competing against my parents and my BF for this dinner. DJ thinks only one person is allowed at the dinner, you're not able to bring BF/GF or anything like that, so that would certainly suck.... but damn. Dinner with Trent F'ing Reznor. How delicious.

For serial though, from what I've seen, Trent seems like a very nice, modest guy who would be great to hang around with. He doesn't seem to have the typical "rock star ego" either. Would love to talk to him, and hope to before I (or he) die(s)

based on the logistics of time and the comment that the DJ made it sounds to me as though you're gonna be stuck hand-feeding trent meatloaf in between songs.

Edited to add: I am still really amazed that they were able to get this opportunity with Trent. Like thinking upon it... its an amazing once in a life time opportunity. How many people can say "yeah, I've had dinner with Trent Reznor". If I (or someone in my family) does not win, I will be sorely jealous of the winner and will probably make a voodoo doll of them :P

I was so far back for NIN it was boring where i was (my friend on the other hand. very front again the barrier and said it was the best show of all lolla aside from rage the night earlier) I did see him play march of the pigs and Head like a hole though

When I went to the NIN concert in Lexington earlier this year, I couldn't get close enough to the stage for the greatest thing that would have ever happened to me: Trent Reznor threw out two tambourines into the audience.

Can you imagine the power in those tambourines? We use a tambourine when we play Rock Band right now. I think if I just showed my Xbox one of those tambourines, it'd probably just give me a 100%, wouldn't it?

I know it's an obvious thing to say you should try to get as close as possible, but you should also try to gauge the trajectory of a tambourine which has attained escape velocity and stand right there.
