Wow, I watched a few videos of the expert guitar in RB and DAMMMM, I can't even see the notes. How the hell do people play these, it looks more then impossible!! I play guitar irl and that just looks harder then any solo. Do you just try to memerize the notes and practice like crazy?? I just laughed at the screen when I watched it(and justice for all). Whats the trick here??

Well, I have been playing GH since '05, and all I can say is that you REALLY train your eye and hand to work together. It gets pretty frantic, but truth be told little memorization is ever involved, most of it is just reading it the best we can. There will be parts that we remember to watch out for but those take up probably 3% of a song.

It's a lot easier to read when you are watching it on your own TV than on a youtube clip or something.

It was kind of not fun that I didn't fail any song on the list + DLC except Blackened. But the drums are a whole new deal and it's a new instrument to start back down on medium again.

Im an expert master guitarist..........basically, if you have good hand eye cordination your set for at least easy. Once you process the notes and you're able to control your "am i holding down the right button?" reaction then you are set for medium. Once you have those both in order, you have to master your "not freaking out on a lot of notes and having a seizure!!!" technique. Put all that together and you have a hard leveled rocker!!!! All you need after that is speed and endurance with both arms. Once your comfortable and have it all good inside Mr. Brain, your an expert....and possibly ***. But your only a *** expert guitarist if you have no friends and you dont get out of the house much......no offence to those who fit the picture......AND NO, IM NOT ASIAN........its amazing i know......also no offence to those who fit th.....well....to those who are asian.....i guess..........

Well having never player GH it was very different to me. I play medium on the songs I played and its very easy. I find it a bit hard sometimes to feel where you are on the neck of the guitar, aka what color you are pushing. I find it easier on a real guitar. Just looking at the video of expert metallica , dam it looked crazy.

I find drums very easy, but I play drums also irl. I think that the higher levels might be easier then lower difficulty. The reason being that its weird to hear the bass or a drum and not want to press it. Kinda like you have to watch the notes instead of playing by feel and ear.

That's true. I started on easy since I had never played the drums and wanted to get the arm/leg coordination down, but find myself wanted to play more notes than are on the screen.

The guitar in RB is a lot harder than it should be for me. The rectangle notes mess my timing up and i do crappy on all the decent solo's. I've been playing expert on gh since gh1 and those solos are cake.... learning the rectangle notes has been hard.
