It was on this day in 2006 that the Playstation 3 officially launched in North America. Sure, it may have taken a few months for you to get your legs under you and start walking. But once you did, you were sprinting everywhere you went.
From Restistance to Uncharted to MGS4 to LittleBigPlanet, you've made all your users very happy gamers in one way or another.
Share your thoughts on your favorite moments with your PS3.
For me, it was the first time I turned on Resistance:FOM and ran through that demolished street with Chimera firing everywhere at me and I thought to myself "This is just the beginning....imagine what I'll see next!".

wow, holy crap. It's been that long already?
I bought mine back when nobody wanted one, yay 60 gig. Been on the ps3 train since January. Now I own 20+ games for it and have enjoyed them all.

I don't think I recall that there was a time when nobody wanted a PS3, I had a hell of time finding one round the hollidays after it launched. In fact it was my brother that lucked out, he was a Toys R Us looking for a Wii (yeah I know!!)and happened to be there just when the UPS truck was delivering a batch of PS3s, he called me and told me "Hey I have a PS3 right in front of me, should I get it?" me: "Yeah of course you should get it you big jerk!!" I paid him back that same day and have been a very happy man since then.
My first game was also Resistence Fall of Man, which I had no idea what it was about, but was completly blown away when I played it. I have never once regreted buying this awsome console, if that makes me sound like a fanboy? so be it.

I'm about to celebrate my one-year anniversary with my shiny black box o' joy!
Favorite moments include unwrapping the box on Christmas and throwing in Casino Royale on Blu-ray for the first time, plus later playing Call of Duty 4 and realizing just how awesome gaming in hi-def was going to be!
For me, the PS3 finally made a reality out of all the things the PS2 was supposed to be, but wasn't. It's a multi-media monster, and for once they hype really did add up. I use it as a home computer, a video player and a gaming console. And I'm sure that in a few firmware upgrades I'll also be able to use it as a dishwasher and a mind control machine!

Do you mean Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm? cus if you do, then it's already out. My nephew has it and its really cool game, graphics, controls, sound etc... are all top notch.

I've had mine for about six months now, and I can easily say that it was the best purchase I have ever made. It's basically my computer. Most, if not all, of my posts come from my PS3.
Thank god the price eventually went down. If it stayed at $600, I don't think I ever would have bought one.

Oh hell, I'm always behind the times with release dates.
That means I get to rent it this weekend though! Thanks!

My favorite PS3 moment is this one time I saw one in somebody's home. It was magical.
I've honestly only seen a PS3 outside of a store once in my life and I haven't even touched a gamepad for it. 2 years abstaining from PS3 use successful so far ;) Do not take this as a negative comment, I'm only joking around.

As soon as this (http://kotaku.com/5039426/playstation-3-controller-getting-wireless-keypad) comes out, I will use my ps3 even more so as a PC. I use it a lot for checking email, headlines, etc., but I don't have a usb keyboard for it.
I was more than happy to pay the $600 price-tag for my 60 GB model that came with no games included (compared to today's bundles, that seems ridiculously expensive!). Sure, I may have had a checking account balance of -$14 for a couple weeks and ate basic sandwiches for a month to afford it, but when I spent all of my time playing my PS3, who needs money!?

Dude, that made my day. I REALLY want one of those. Typing with the 6 axis is so annoying.
I've gotten ridiculously good at typing on that thing though. I didn't even notice it, but I guess I've gotten used to using the controller.

I'm the same way...trying to coordinate using the controller on LBP in particular is annoying as crap. It's supposed to be out the first week of December.
