Oh let rockband have metal! If I don't get any metal than the game is worthless.

My definition of metal
Metal= NON EMO WIMPY PUNK CRAP. MUSIC THAT BEATS YOU SENSLESS AND KEEPS YOU COMEING BACK FOR MORE! Not music that makes you want to go to bed like the wimpy punk emo crap does. METAL MAKES YOU WANT TO DOMINATE AND DESTROY ALL!!!!! Metal is the master.

Wimpy emo punk crap includes: My Chemical Romance. Greenday. Yellowcard. Simple Plan. Story of the Year. AFI. Hawthorne Heights. Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. From First To Last. Senses Fail. Dashboard Confessional. The Used. Armor For Sleep. Coheed and Cambria. Fall Out Boy. From First To Last. The Starting Line.

God help me if ANY appear in rockband thats a NO SALE for me and my buds.

But rockband can redeem itself IF any of THESE metal artist appear.

METAL makes games like the gh series acceptable sadly gh3 did not have megadeth. Very dissapointing. But. Maybe rockband will make up for gh3's letdown. I hoped for more in it but it failed. At least some COB and LOG would be nice but Amon Amarth Cry of the Blackbirds would be amazing. A nice bonus would be something from dethklock like Bloodrocuted, Hatredcopter or Murmaider. MMMM yes Murmaider. Do not fail me rockband and ruin yourself with wimpy emo punk rock. Thats not rock. Thats like country and rap. CRAP. Just with wimpy and emo infront of it.

Well some of those arent really metal (pink floyd, sound garden)... But i agree with you. The game does need some songs with screaming that are not any of that stuff you wrote about. All that Remains would be cool.

Only problem with metal is that alot of bands have two bass pedals... which would be impossible on rockband.

Coheed and Cambria and Fall Out Boy are the ones from your list that you don't like. But there is metal on there. Metallica for one. And I'm sure there will be more in the future.

The reason a lot of the newer metal wouldn't really work on Rock band is cause screaming into the mic doesn't accomplish much. I've tried.

Well, yelling will work just fine, it can sense the pitch of the yell. But screaming is just sporatic and can't really get much out of it. The only way I can see screaming working is if they do it as a 'talky part' where there is no pitch required.

Id love to have some as I lay dying to play on the drums.. would be hella fun beating the hell out drums then, which is what I like :D and the only downside to rock band for me is, the only bands that really make me wanna beat the drums is metallica and there isnt much to chose from even with the DLC, I know HMX is trying to cater to everyone, but they are leavin' the metal freaks out in the rain a little on this one, hell I play Six all the damn time on GH2 Just so I can thrash the controller around and attempt to mimic the fact that Ill never be able to play heavy metal IRL lol xD although I wish I was talented enough to do so..

Agree 100% more metal and less Fail like fail out boy and The hives and Jet and crap like that. I got sick in my stomache the moment I saw I HAD to play fail out boy and the others.

Need to add more metallica, Tool, White Zombie, Megadeth, Dethclok, and on and on and on.

i hate emo as much as the next guy but not every band of young white kids is emo...most metal is beyond awful and the few great metal songs would be nearly impossible to play unless they make it too easy and then it doesnt do the song justice

if i had to chose between bands like coheed, jet, etc or metal garbage with people screaming with no talent...id chose the former

I've listened to Haste The Day. I've tried it. It's just bad. Not hypocritcal at all. I didn't call out an entire genre of music... just a band that I listened to and did not like.

Don't get me wrong I'm a die hard classic rock fan. I love AC/DC and Led and Rush and all of those guys, but a couple of songs from MCR are bearable. I'm not sure they would make fun Rock Band songs though. Falloutboy, on the other hand, sounds like Hellen Keller meets garage band.
