Guitar Hero controllers?

Someone may have already asked this but I can't seem to find any posts. Will the Guitar Hero 1/2 controllers for PS2/X-box [More specificly PS2 for me] work with Rock Band? Cuz they're pretty basic devices right? I have one of them PS2 controller to USB things, will those work like that?

360 X-Plorers will (albeit without the sound effects switch, and you'll have to do guitar solos the old way) .. as for ps2 ones, i don't think it's been discussed

Those guitars will work with RB, from what I've heard.

the 360 guitars have a special port for the effects pedals, so the solo buttons and the wireless would be the only things missing

If you cought the video earlier this week they were using the XB360 controllers on the RB game, as has been said you wont have the 5 extra buttons for strum free HOPOs.

The same will be true for the PS2 guitars. The effects knob has not been 'confirmed' yet, just something they are looking at and not much has been mentioned about an effects pedal, don't expect to see that at launch. In fact, the effects pedal could be utilised on either GH2 (XBox), GH3 or Rockband as they all have the port on the guitar.

What are those PS2 to USB adapters like? as well as my XB guitar I have two PS2 guitars (one from GH1 and one from GH11).

They're quite good. I bought one for my PC for emulators. Playstation controllers are so much better than any PC gamepad you can buy. It's basicly the same anyway right? I mean. Green=R1, Red=R2, etc... so I can't see why it wouldn't have worked, I just thought I'd ask to be sure.

PS2 controllers WILL NOT work for the 360 version, as the 360 controllers require special chips, the same reason why they have to make seperate PS3/360 controllers.

Whether or not PS2 guitars will work on PS3, I have no idea.

I was hoping the 360/PS3 guitars would work for both systems via USB or something. I would hate to have to buy one 360 guitar for myself and a separate PS3 guitar so I can play with my friends. Lots of spending money....

You can get those PS2 to Xbox thingys though, I was thinking the controllerw would work via that, its what the interface was designed for.
