Premium meaning more durable, better overall build quality...cooler looking. :) But of course at a premium price (say $100 bucks for the guitar or drums alone..maybe something with a longer warranty) would you pay it?

I think it's obvious that they had to reach a particular price point to appease the masses, but I wonder if there is a market for something like this. There are a lot of Rock Band fanatics out there...

If the dance pad craze is any indication - you will probably see this in the future, but I think the price point will be higher.

I'd say you'll see $150-200 drum kits, if things take off like it's sounding like they are. And if they are quieter and feel more like a real drum kit, it could definitely reach that point.

Heck yeh, I'd pay $150 guitar or drumkit with assurance that its durable like a real instrument. A real quality instrument can take a pounding.

It'd be sweet if someone walked into the room and had to do a double take when looking at the drumset wondering if the dude is actually playing a 3/4 sized kit.

If the replacement guitar EA sends me doesn't have the same issues with the strum bar, I'll be happy with that. It's a great design, but obviously something was missed in quality control.

We just have to keep in mind what we are dealing with here... a piece of electric equipment that you beat with a stick... i think its crazy insane that they tried to pull this off in the first place... a electric drumset that 1000s of people are going to start hitting on with sticks and stomping on... but make it out of plastic so the people wont have to pay lots of money... crazy... I love them for it tho..

I have a $1200 and a $5000 electric drumset... the pads go out on them too... each pad is $50 - $100...

but yes... I would pay more for a better RB drumset with a warranty... the pads need to be individually replaceable as well...
