6. Encore Inducers

Gasoline - Audioslave
Livin' on the Edge - Aerosmith

Machinehead - Bush
Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits

7. Standing Ovation Worthy

Mountain Song - Jane's Addiction
Hypnotize - System of a down
Fall into sleep - Mudvayne
Wont Get Fooled Again - The Who
Paradise City - Guns'n Roses

8. Start A Real Band Already

Peace Sells - Megadeth
Even Flow - Pearl Jam (Probably in GH 3?)
From this Day - Machinehead
Fade to Black - Metallica
The Clansman - Iron Maiden

I thought about "Hotel California" and "Layla" as well... Wasnt sure, though.

Its pretty hard to figure out songs that arent too boring for specific instruments but fun for anyone from singers to bassists. Some bands totally disqualified because of a monotone bassline. I tried to keep those songs out of my list.

Ps: My most important suggestions are The Clansman and Fall into sleep. I pray every night that those songs will make it into the game!

Any suggestions?! Your welcome!

Listen to the Money? I'm guessing you mean Money Talks. I'd much rather see something like Thunderstruck or For Those About to Rock (we salute you)

Can you name the specific horrible song choices? Maybe with a reason?!
Just being curious...

Paradise City sucks.

Right! But it might be fun to play / sing.

I personally like the songs more you named. I just thought Money Talks is better to sing than for ex. Thunderstruck. Didnt think of For those about to Rock, though. Maybe its worth a change.

your lostprophets song, incubus song, foo fighters song, rage song, metallica song. plus bad band choices, like the ramones. the only song picks i really liked were mountain song and machinehead.

Hmm, ok.
Let's talk about Metallica.
I think its really hard to pick one Metallica song but i wanted to have one in my list. I really like the early and faster stuff but I thought it might be horrible to "sing" (this is was gave me a hard time choosing "From this day" by Machinehead even though i like it). Like many others id love to see a Metallica song in there. But i cant by no circumstances imagine that Harmonix will get the permission to put one in.

Anyway, how about this: I'll offer you an alternative metallica song! "Too late too late" ?!?!

Well, i remember Mr. Ulrich complaining about Napster and stuff... thats long ago, i know. just a thought, but if he didnt change his mind he might not be happy seeing his music shipped with a plastic guitar.

I can't deny the correctness of this statement!

Right! But it might be fun to play / sing.

It's too repetitive in the beginning. (Until the solo)

Nightrain would be a better choice.

Yeah repitition is where many songs fail. Like Smoke on the water in Gh1 or Nirvana's Heart shaped box in GH2.

But thinkin of a learning effect in the early categories this might be good for beginners...

The solo would be too hard for the earlier catagories.

Let me take this chance to give you guys a link to the category 8 encore i am right now announcing in the name of Harmonix (To all morons: this is a joke and this song is not (yet) confirmed to be part of RB):

The Clansman - Iron Maiden

Long calm intro followed by great riffs to play. Great lyrics. Many soli.
Thats all that has to be said.

Mountain song is still in there ;-)

And yes, i meant the live one from the grand olympic. And i still have no idea if a live version would make sense in RB...
