Is it me or should they do a spin off of Country and other genres?

I listen to all types of music. Be it Metal, Rock, Country, Jazz, etc. I enjoy it all. I think they have such a good setup to be able to release new games such as:

Country Band
Metal Band
Punk Band

and many more. The possibilities are endless. It would cater to an even larger crowd and I could see it definitly being a hit.

I know sometimes I want to rock out and sometimes I want to play stuff a bit more mellow.

It would be awesome playing Tim Mcgraw, Trace Atkins, Brad Paisley, Shania Twain(for the girls out there), Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Rascal Flats, and more. There are alot of songs that are fun to sing and fun to play.


I also want more Iron Maiden and give me some Skid Row!!!

I totally agree. I had some friends over to play last night and we all like different kinds of music. We all thought it would be awesome to have had some popular country songs to sing. Songs like Garth Brooks Friends in Low Places, etc. This whole game is like karaoke on steroids so I think it would be really popular and also open it up to more people. Kind of like how the Wii opened gaming to a whole new crowd of people.

While I would love to see some country, I don't think it would be in HMX's best interest to do an entire spin off, but I would definately welcome some DLC.

BTW Church0070, your stereotypical comment about what country music is about and how "awful" it is shows just how ignorant you really are. What are you...15? Most country artists, bands, and songs put a lot of what you call music to shame lyrically and musically. Do you so abhor it because if you didn't all your little buddies would think you weren't cool?

I know they are coming out with a punk pack for DLC. Maybe they will have other other packs like this for other genres.

Country music has a larger fan base than most other types of music. Some country musicians could outplay most rock/metal guys.
having said that you may think i am a country fan, i am not. i can hear and respect the talent but that doesn't mean i have to like it. would i buy some country as DLC, hell yes i would if it's good.

this game is NOT setup as a favorite individual song kinda game. it's geared toward a group thing. not so much what you want to hear (go put on headphones for that) it's what would be fun for group play.

I think there is room for clever choices.

As a vocal fan, I would love to see The Eagles: Hotel California and Desperado in here, maybe a 3 pack with Witchy Woman/Life in the fast lane.

Possibly James Taylor as well. not really country, but good story songs that are good to sing to.

Even a single of Garth Brooks Thunder Rolls wouldnt hurt too bad, ignore it if you want, but have it available.

Yeah, I can't see a full spin off but a DLC country selection would be a great way for HMX to guage interest. I watched all the credits (trying unsuccessfully to get gamescore points) and noticed in there they referenced CMT, MTV, VH1, etc. Bet we'll see other types of music sooner rather than later.

I would play Garth songs and enjoy it. But since we are talking about other genres, I would like a "Ska Band" :D With bands like No Doubt(early stuff), Reel Big Fish, Five Iron Frenzy. And I have a feeling that I would be the only one wanting those bands :D
