Has anyone heard an expected launch date for the first wave of DLC on XBox Live? Will we see any before Dec. 17? Appreciate any news people may have seen or heard.

I've heard a lot of complaining about the lack of DLC but no real answers or news. I know there are a lot of Canadian players ready and willing fans to fork out the cash to Harmonix, EA, MTV, MS and company right now. Get those songs up there, boys and girls!

No offense but I hope you don't fork out the cash for the DLC. Didn't you notice we're paying 30%, sometimes more dollars than what U.S. residents are paying? If you're willing to pay that's fine for you but it's basically saying "I'm fine with you ripping-off canadians".

According to http://www.mspconverter.com 160 points = $2 USD but $2.56 CAD. Converting the Canadian amount back to USD gives about $2.59 or ~30% markup.

Of course this happens with everything on XBL Marketplace, so either the amount of points for DLC would have to be lowered or MS would have to correct the number of points per CAD to achieve parity for Canadian consumers. Since the DLC isn't out yet AFAIK though, I guess you can't really complain but it's a safe assumption.

While I can agree with the concept of boycotting based upon unfairness, I think you hit the nail on the head there--this happens with everything on XBL, not just HMX items. You're only hurting yourselves and Harmonix if you choose not to get the DLC. If the up-charge actually makes it not worth the price to you, that's one thing, but to avoid purchase based on a principle which doesn't seem likely to change, looks like it might not be productive in this case.

Buy Points off Future Shop now. You have until Noon tomorrow. They are 10% off. It makes it a better deal than the American point cards at regular price.

It works out to $1.21 per 100 points. Whereas the Americans regularly pay $1.25 per 100 points.

I just purchased a 2800 point card at $33.99

I hear what you're saying about the price of Canadian XBox Live points, conversion etc. and understand your point. But I'm really hoping to find out when RB DLC will be released in Canada. Anyone have info on that?

And yeah, regardless of whether we're paying slightly more than Americans for DLC, I'm still buy it, not gonna boycott.

Sean said to expect it to be released the same day it releases in the country. In Canada's case it would be Dec. 17-20, sometime in there anyways.

Yea I know but I have to borrow someone elses credit card because I pay for everything in cash. I added them to my cart in hopes the price will stay. Seems to keep the price with in-store pickup at least.
