No matter what settings I tweak, the sound going into the mic (singing) always lags before coming out of the speakers. I've been able to fine tune the guitar and drum lags manually, but nothing I'm able to set seems to adjust the sound lag from the microphone.
Please help. Thanks.

There is a lengthy explanation for this that I'm not going to go into...but regardless, you're not going to be able to fix the problem. The problem is with your sound equipment causing a delay between when your console sounds out the audio and when you hear it. Try to mess around with your equipment to create as few barriers as possible between the console and your ears. Also, try turning off the 'Dolby Digital' setting, as that sometimes fixes the problem.

Hi Gregory. I'd really appreciate it if you'd take the time to explain in more detail. I understand enough about sound systems that I should be able to get what you might be hesitant to dive into. Right now, I have a digital optical cable going straight into my receiver, so I'm not sure what physical connections I can eliminate since there are just the two (mic to PS3, and optical to receiver). If there are delay settings built into my receiver, perhaps you could elaborate?
I had already tried turning off the Dolby Digital and that didn't seem to have any effect. I'll keep experimenting with different sound field settings with my receiver and see if that helps.

Never mind, I found the main thread on this exact topic. Thanks.
