Ah it rhymes, how wonderful. So I have to admit this seems pretty kick ass. I have all but 3 achievements, going to get them today. So I can't wait to have more fallout to play.

No problem! Alaska and Pittsburgh, pretty f'n sweet. I love the role playing aspect of fallout but I admit a warzone action map sounds super fun. I spend most of my time in vats cause I miss the old turn based fighting. Seems I might run out of action points in this dlc.

Yeah seems as though companies like valve and bethesda have been vocal about their annoyance of the programming for ps3. And I'm guessing the weak sales of ps3 dlc for oblivion weigh into this.

After waiting a few months for the dust to settle on the post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 3, Bethesda announced today that it would be returning in January with the first of three new DLC packs for the game. As you likely know, they'll be coming to the 360 and PC, with no PS3 plans in sight. Straight from the company's release:

* Operation: Anchorage: Enter a military simulation and fight in one of the greatest battles of the Fallout universe – the liberation of Anchorage, Alaska from its Chinese Communist invaders. An action-packed battle scheduled for release in January.
* The Pitt: Journey to the industrial raider town called The Pitt, located in the remains of Pittsburgh. Choose your side. Scheduled for release in February.
* Broken Steel: Join the ranks of the Brotherhood of Steel and rid the Capital Wasteland of the Enclave remnants once and for all. Continues the adventure past the main quest. Scheduled for release in March.

PC gamers that just can't wait for new content will be happy to hear that they don't have to: Bethesda also revealed that content creation tools for the game, dubbed the Garden of Eden Creation Kit, will arrive on PC next month.

I don't normally get excited about non-Rock Band DLC, but I had such a blast with Fallout that I must pick these up.

Is it going to make it so you sent in lyons to die? Or maybe you didn't really die and only passed out. Which would be lame. And will you need your save file for the end of the game?

I think it would be awesome if they made the dlc with the option of being hard as hell. That way they could raise the level 20 cap. Raising the cap would be pointless unless there was some added difficulty since we'd be god like.

I was very loyal to sony. I was a fanboy even. I had ps1 and ps2. When ps3 came out I laughed very hard at the price. When rock band came out I wasn't going to put up with a gimped ps2 version. So I bought a 360 cause it was cheap and I didn't want to be forced into buying a blu ray player when I don't need one.

If the ps4 is cheap and awesome and gets the jump on xbox I'd buy it. But then I see these things happen and I wonder how committed sony is.

Let's try not to turn this thread into a console war. Whatever the reasons are that people had for buying their particular console (for us Europeans, being able to buy import games on the PS3 without modding is very tempting), I think we can all agree that console favoritism by developers that has gone so far that they deny one system DLC altogether is a bad thing.

Oh yeah totally. Not trying to start a war, I'm not a fanboy of xbox. Supposedly it was announced awhile ago that the dlc was only going to be for pc and 360. I'm just finding out about it now. I'm also finding out now that the people who have it on pc can kill kids. This angers me. Princess needs to die. Seriously.

I swear they made princess and the mayor like that on purpose just to piss you off. I was really shocked when I couldn't kill them. I played the old fallout games and you could. It was cool that you would get marked as a child killer. Which made you lose out on a couple quests. Same with grave robber.

I'm looking forward to the DLC, but I have to say that I'm a bit suprised at how little replay value I've found in the game so far.

After I finished my first playthrough (emphasis on speech/small guns), I decided to try to play through again with a melee character, but I'm having a hard time with that because melee feels so gimped compared to firearms. Not being able to target body parts in VATS seems like a pointless handicap, and the melee weapons don't do enough damage to compensate for the extra damage that I have to take while enemies get free shots at me during the period where I try to get close enough to hit them.

360 owner here, and just when I think I should have bought the Sony, something like this comes along and makes me say "whew"... RB is what spurred me to action, and I've lucked out and missed the PS3 guitar issues, RB2 issues and now the royal screw from Bethesda. Of course, I'll never play anything multiplayer, because I refuse to pay another monthly fee for the option (Kudos to you Sony, for making a standard feature free). It sucks to see DLC released exclusively for one system. Makes you realize just how screwed up the gaming industry truly is.

anyways, i have a question for you all, i went to the underworld, and talked to mr crowley, and got You Gotta Shoot Em In the Head, and talked around town, and went back to him and he offered more caps and told me that he wanted the keys, when i answered **** you ill keep the keys myself, he tried to kill me, well, is it like when u piss off someone in megaton and go back and everythings fine or when i go back to him is he gonna try to kill me again? cuz if its the second option, ill just go and blast his head off

I just got this game this passed weekend, and I have to say it is pretty damn sweet!!!

I got it for my PS3 which is fine with me not having the DLC being I'm a cheap ass and wouldn't buy it any way lol.

I haven't figured out the funniest part of the game yet, whether its just like "hey, i almost got my ass handed to me by a gang of super mutant brutes" so i go to megaton and to my house and theres Wadsworth "good morning sir!" and he tells you some crappy joke

drinking out of a toilet to regain health

or

going to that town on the highway with the woman that had no idea there was a nuclear war going on "oh, ill have to tell my husband about that!"

Without a doubt, the funniest part of FO3 personally was...

In one of the vaults, it seems the variant was cloning one particular person named Gary. I keep the subtitles on and the volume loud. Every time I would go around a corner, I'd faintly hear "Gaaaaaaarryyyyyyyy........." until I'd get whacked in the back with a police baton. I laughed my ass off at how many ways a person could say Gary.

Due to the scheduled weekly awesome that HMX provides, I never planned on buying DLC for FO3 which is why I made the conscious(sp?) decision to purchase it for my PS3. Besides that, I have a deap seeded hatred for MS controllerws... it all stems from that f*ckin semi steering wheel they packed into the original Xbox

Kinda indifferent to the official DLC. The brotherhood thing will probably be cool but the other 2 sound like they are separate game modes, outside the normal story, which makes me nervous. The Anchorage one especially just sounds like one big battle which is very meh to me, the combat in the game is fun but without the NPC interaction the game would be basically a subpar shooter. I guess I'll see how it shapes up.

yeah, so im wandering over to vault 112, when i come across 2 super mutants, i easily take care of them with my assault rifle,which runs out of ammo, i turn around and a behemoth is coming over the hill, i use 2 mini nukes, a frag grenade, and 2 missles to take it down

ive got some ammo left for my hunting rifle, combat shotgun, 2 mini nukes, 3 missles, and 13 energy shots with my laser pistol

i come to that run down village with about a dozen raiders in it, my health is low, ive got 2 stimpacks and not much else, other than some booze and drugs

then ****, another behemoth pops up in the village, luckily, after about 10 minutes, the raiders finished me off...


god damn it, this sucks, now i gotta go back to my save point, (right where i took care of the 1st behemoth) and fast travel back to megaton to heal and buy ammo, then fast travel to the ****ing metro station in the middle of nowhere hoping no more behemoths pop up where i killed the last one...

Don't give him the keys. Bring them to fort constantine in the top left of the map. There is armor there that is better than the tesla armor. You need the 3 keys to get it.

EDIT: You also get the achievement/quest complete once you grab the armor.

after hearing the stories and having him tell me thats all he wanted, i never planned on giving him them, its just, since i told him i wanted to keep the keys for myself, he started shooting me and well, i dont want to go back and have the town turn on me
