What are you trying to un-lock... you play the songs and get whole setlists of tunes. Then, you play each of the bonus songs one-at-a-time to "un-lock" them.

use the GH3 controller...I like the strat better but for fast songs and HO/PO I'm better w/ the Les Paul...spread out buttons.

First of all kid you need to calm down, I got to that last list and all the songs in it but 1 kicked my ass, I turned the system off because I played all the way up to that song. Did all the bonus on expert. Then I went back and completed the last songs, just make sure you save your overdrive and you'll be fine.

yeah i know... i'll just leave green grass alone for a while and do the other instruments. Losing is too frustrating for me. I got all the bonus' on expert, they were also easy easy easy.

I did the same thing. Failed it 5-6 times on medium, five-starred it on my first try when I came around to it again on hard. I thought Vasoline was a harder song in that tier, on hard. Maybe RB really does make you better at playing drums.

Green Grass is an awful song for everyone but Guitar. The song is monotonous and boring for the drummer and bass.

On drums, you have one more tier after that song. The same thing over and over again for what feels like 10 minutes...and the only reason I kept failing is because I'd go slightly off the rhythm due to getting tired.

One time I failed it at 97% and threw my drumsticks against the wall. lol. Finally after sitting up and literally bouncing to the rhythm to keep it accurate, I got through it.

I have yet to beat it on Hard guitar. I think the Strat is hard to due hammer-ons and pull-offs with which is why they gave us the solo buttons. So I switched back to my Les Paul and got about 85% through the last time. Almost there.

FAILING LONG SONGS = THE PITS.

Go into practice mode. Practice each section individually a bunch of times in a row, so you can get the fingering patterns into your muscle memory. Then do 2 sections, then 3, and so on. Finally just practice the song itself over and over and over again. That's really the only way to do it.

I beat it on expert this morning. Definitely the Free Bird (for guitar) of this game :D

The only advice I can offer is to strategically use your overdrive. I was failing it at 80% too, but planning ahead with overdrive is what helped me get past that part.

It's that final part, the trills, that gets me, I can't get through it without star power. maybe i should learn to use the lower buttons so i don't have to strum if i miss.

Try to get used to using the smaller buttons on the guitar, you don't have to strum during solos with those, and if you get it right you can easily tap the ending with two hands.

as for failing songs at the last percent, I failed Paranoid on expert singing on the LAST NOTE I didn't know how the last 3 words went, and winged it, and failed at the last part of the song. It said 99% complete, it was probably 99.999999% complete lol :)

Hopefully I'll get green grass on guitar expert one day... this was the same thing for rock this town and crazy on you which i eventually beat.

Trying the drums on hard now..... jsut started 3rd tier :) this is pretty dang hard!!!
