That Maps rendition by the vocalist is probably the best I've seen/heard. Just goes to show you that with every embarrassing drunk performance there are talented vocalists who play Rock Band.

Despite popular (self) beliefs, very few people can actually sing. Very nicely done by the singer.

That was pretty good. I love playing this song so much more than listening to it... Especially drums. Best part is the animations on the female singers, I think they really nailed it there.

turn down the backing vox and do it again so we can hear how good she really is...
not trying to say she isnt. just cant really tell with the real vox in there.

She pretty much sounded exactly like the backing vox. You can hear very minor changes once in a while and that is her voice.

So.....Judy Nails is a singer?

Yeah, you can't hear her because her voice is almost dead-on. You can tell because in I Think I'm Paranoid her voice sticks out more, so it wasn't a matter of her being drowned out by the song.

Why does she do it on medium if she's so awesome? that's easily an expert run.... why hold yourself back?

Not to brag, but I got 100% on this song on Hard, while playing guitar at the same time. My Karaoke Revolution technique seems to be working fine. Just sing quietly, at a whisper type level and its a lot easier to fake the notes. Plus I don't have to worry about being embarrassed if my neighbors could hear me. There are a few "go-to" songs that I use when playing Expert vocals/guitar at the same time, because they are easy for me to get 95%+ on the vocals, without having to look up at the top of the screen, so that I can focus on the guitar part. Those include this song, I Think I'm Paranoid, Black Hole Sun, Learn To Fly, Say It Ain't So, Creep, and In Bloom. At this point, it's the only way I can keep earning more fans, until my friends come back to town.

Well this thread isn't about maximizing scores with the mechanics, it's about how well she sings. Obviously the game does not reward the fact that she is very good at imitating the singers voice, it just measures her pitch. I assure you there are plenty of people who could earn 100% or better on Hard, but will they sound as good as this. That's all I'm saying.

Funny, I'm always stuck on mic while my brother hogs the drums and the deadly downstrum disease hogs my guitar.

Not to rain on your parade or anything but you can't tell if somebody is a great singer if the song has no range. I'm willing to bet that a very large percentage of young women can sing Maps that song perfectly. It's not difficult at all.
You can tell she's merely average (which isn't negative) when she sings paranoid.

Dunno...takes a lot of guts to put a vid up there for all the world to hear/see. I think she does a phenomenal job...it's sort of irrelevant what level she's set at.
Great job by all the band. Nice, nice demo...
They have another one up now, too. "Dani California."

I was pleased with the non-spaz and nice sounding drum fills the drummer did ^.^

I must say I admire the hosstastic fills the drummer did on Maps and I Think I'm Paranoid. Dani California, not so much.

Nice job, and I do agree the singers character does look very Judy Nailsish. Which is a good thing in my opinion. Now i just have to find some girls around here to join my band when we finally get it up here in Canada. :)

Yeah...I usually just spaz out completely.
Looks like they were going for a crazy score on Dani California...maybe that's why.
