What music do you listen to while playing games?

I like listen to the game's music, any other tends to distract me. Besides it's not like in the old days where most of the in game music sucked (8-bit era I'm looking at you.) Some of today's games carry outstanding soundtracks and not just from real bands but original compositions. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on the Heavenly Sword soundtrack.

I don't listen to music whilst playing games. I find it a distraction. I prefer to hear the ingame sound effects and music combination.

The only game I really listen to music while playing is Warhawk. And that's just because it's one of the only games that allows you to play music stored on your PS3 in game.

I usually listen to the music in the game, but for Counter Strike: Source I would listen to Danko Jones, Def Leppard, Disturbed, System of a Down, etc.

in fact when I listen to Danko Jones it reminds me of playing CS:S :P

i don't listen to any music when i play. I have my headphones running the video game through them, so all i hear is the video game. That is, unless, im playing rock band, then it's whatever music i'm playing on there.

I'll usually listen to the game's music when playing the game. I'm not one who listens to video game music in particular, but it was put in the game for a reason and, in context, sets the mood the game's trying to convey. I couldn't imagine listening to music while playing Left 4 Dead, for example, because it ruins the entire creepy zombie apocalypse theme.

On the other hand, there are games with largely no soundtrack (Team Fortress 2 comes to mind) that I improvise for. It really depends on the music I'm currently bingeing and what I think would go best with the game.
