Not Just Another Ps3 Gh3 Controller Rant

Ok so obviosuly I own Ps3, and like many other rock band players, i bought Gh3 under the assumtion that the controller would work for Rockband, because i would save 30 bucks just by buying that controller instead. blah blah blah, im angry that it doesnt work, thats the short story...

anyways, so wouldn't it be possible to do an add-on or Ps3 update to allow Gh3 controllers to work? It would be basically the same thing as modding a program on your Computer to work off a Wii remote *with the right sensors but the ps3 already has the dongles and so on to make it work* so coudlnt technically a lil software update fix this issue? all you wouild need to do is change the context of how the game reads the controller.

In theory, yes they could do this. Whether they'll invest the time/money to do so is another story, since the RB Strat will go on sale in January anyway.
