American Eagle, only because I go to a prep school. If I showed up with something from Hot Topic on my body, I would get stripped and beaten.

You can find some cool stuff at Hot Topic in spite of its reputation for being a goth store. Which is funny, since I haven't seen much goth clothing in any of the stores around here for eons. For a while it was all hoodies, but recently it seems like there's been a boom in early 80s retro new wave ****.

Either way, they stock CDs and vinyl and have some cool stuff on clearance every now and again. I also like that they routinely rotate their stock, so there's always something new and interesting to check out.

My local HT is pretty awesome, despite the stores' dubious reputation amongst "real" goths and punkers. I got Motörhead and The Damned shirts for only 9 bucks there! The employees at the local shop are also really knowledgeable about music, as well; one of them even knew the "Lemmy is God" joke.

I said Vampire because remember throughout the episode they were being called Vampire kids although they were Goths? I'm crafty like that.

the only time my clothes don't come second-hand from a thrift store is when i buy a t-shirt from a band face-to-face at a show.

i buy sneakers from cheap spots like wal-mart or target and in the rare event i have to buy new boots i visit my local army supply store.

I don't think I've been in American Eagle so I can't really say. The last time I went to Hot Topic I got unnecessarily angry for no reason, although it did have some cool stuff.(Iron Maiden shirts, Metallica vinyl, ect.)

I'd go with Hot Topic. Don't care for sort of fashion sense they push, but they do have some decent t-shirts.

I guess I'm old and lame because I picked American Eagle. Though if there were a choice for neither I would have gone with that. Both stores have some alright stuff, but I wouldn't go out of my way to shop at either one.
