A List to maybe expand your own music libraries, and some music I believe HMX should take a look at.

Accept - Balls to the Wall

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ph8kGPXOoUw
If you like ACDC, you should like them. Sounds alittle on the easy side for Rockband difficulty

Agent Orange - No Such Thing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqiF2Yo_K44
some of that old punk from early 80s, sorry for the Skate vid

Autograph - Turn up the Radio

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNb8po-ufu8
yep one of the many 80s songs your gonna see turn up on this list, many will make you go "Ohhh that group." Yep this is one of them' Good for RB parties

Bachman-Turner Overdrive - You Aint Seen Nothing Yet

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7miRCLeFSJo
Another "Oh I know that song"

Better Than Ezra - Desperately Wanting

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Q2YrYV_J4I
I like the guitar work in this, reminds me of the Black Crows. One of the one hit wonder groups you'll see pop on here

Billy Squier - Lonely is the Night

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKlu3A3BBgE
Sorta sounds like Rush, but not quite. Definately not by lyric content.

Bob Seger - Mainstreet

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVxsd6yywX8
Ok a heavyweight artist, doesnt seem to get enough requests. Very talented guy, and the instrument changing beats should make this one a fun song to play regardless of the slow tempo.

Bryan Adams - Summer of '69

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuf2YtXs7ak
Yep, party song definately BA music seems underated.

Coal Chamber - Dark Days

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzJODr-WL_o
Drums sound really fun to play, a nice alternate choice for Korn fans and Korn haters to maybe find a middle ground, I really like this group so choosing the song was quite hard

Damn Yankees - High Enough

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwjnIkZnowk
Party song...ok you probably noticed a trend...80s music seems like party songs...maybe I'm the only one. Me and a bunch of the infantry boys here find it enjoyable being drunk and belting out a 80s song (ie thanks for white Wedding and other 80 songs HMX lol)

David Draiman* - Forsaken

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YZHY1ekgYo
I'm gonna put a * beside a couple of groups meaning I found them off the the "The Queen of the Damned" soundtrack. God hated the movie but loved the soundtrack. Somehow it ranks very high as one of my favorites. Anyway listen to some of that tribal like drumming. Bass and Guitar will be lame.

Dishwalla - Counting Blue Cars

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5MjVyqByzU
Easy a teir one song..maybe tier 4-5 on vocals. Party song.

Dope - Bring it On

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8SCHyic7JN0
Ok, Dope gets a decent amount of requests. I cant get over the drums on this song, guitar and bass sound fun on this track. Definate highlight is the drum track. I feel this group got shaffed by the song that represented them in GH3. Bad song choice and terrible charting IMHO.

Downthesun - Jars

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AirQwKLXHg
I wanted to use Pitiful, but there is no Youtube vid of it...its more thrashy, harder metal. Ok I'll be honest, the guitar and bass scare me on that song. Sounds like it would be charted like Sleepwalker. Oh and yes, this is a side band when Slipknot broke up. Heres this song for now...

Drea - Justified

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1YAvortltV8
Female vocals, sorta sounds like Lacuna Coil/Evanessence. Not a bad song.

Dry Cell* - Body Crumbles

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8mcKaAX-F0
Sorta modern Rock/ Emo sounding, filled with emo rage and I kinda like it (like select Fallout Boy tracks)

Earshot* - Headstrong

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kx-CWIQCwtQ
Dark deep sounding of the music just attracts me to this song for some reason...then goes into some emo rage fast playing and yelling.

Eric Burdon - Spill the Wine

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7_U-zj2gfE
Ok a legend of rock, I would love to have this Jazzy song. Probably be to easy on Rockband though..

The Evolutionaires - Slave

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8CU_jMx9cCs
Sorta like Marilyn Manson. I rather have MM, but I could deal with this.

Filter - Hey Man Nice Shot

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMJVpn4BM_Y
Seen them mentioned a couple of times, a must have song I feel for Rockband. Something to add to the grunge genre.

Godhead* - Penetrate

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7Ij-Bi4XJw
Some dark gothy metal. Sorta sounds like Marilyn Mansons "Antichrist Superstar" era type of sound.

Graveyard BBQ - Cheat of the Church

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V7dngCTa9FY
Known as "Dirtcore" genre. Was on GH1 and one of my favorite songs on GH1 if not most favorite, I'd honestly sell my body to see this make it on RB1

High on Fire - Rumors of War

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=89h-X-tZa_w
One of those new metal bands running around. I love this song and wish I could remember the forum poster that told me about this group. Drums would make it the new Run to the Hills/Everlong, maybe even give Visions a run for its money, then again thats freakin Visions :/

Hostile Groove - Fly Routine

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yxX-E5jWqIE
Yep, Nu Metal, sue me, I love all metal...so eat me. You probably remember this one off of the game "Dead Rising"

Hypocrisy - Eraser

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szFlV-83A0I
More non-singing heavy metal. I found this group about a week ago. Figure if they dont make it on Rockband, may as well let other Metal heads know they exist.

Legion37

INXS - I need you Tonight

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZhHph4IOkc
I hated this group along with George Michaels because its all my Mom listened too. Welp, listening to it now, The Guitar would be insanely fun on rockband. Kinda suprised not to see something from these guys yet

Iron Butterfly - In-a-gadda-da-vida

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xfaA_9ycD8
Thats right! Some mutha-****ing Iron Butterfly. If we can get the Dead, we can get them. Step on it HMX! This was a very iconic song back in the day. Love the Guitar Riff.

Jay Gordon* - Slept So Long

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMIQBvrlIdU
Pleasing to the ears, one to check out.

Jesus Jones - Right here, Right now.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtYBQXIeLRw
Eh a friend asked me to sneak it in to this already massive list. A song easily identified.

Kidney Thieves* - Before I'm Dead

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQ5xKQ0HsnA
Female Vocals. I really like this song that isnt very known.

Kittie - Run Like Hell

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBtarnrlXIE
All female metal band. I love them. and YES a Pink Floyd cover. Before you get all sacrilegious on me, hear me out. I really think its near impossibe to get PF in game. So I figured why not get a cover of a song from a group I love, and a group I like. PF might not want to listen for they my cry listening to this version. I happen to like it though.

Lifeseeker - Gone Guru

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4bl3l_GRpnY
Nu Metal...more like Rap. Kinda to suit the posters that want rap, will convert just like Beastie Boys. I wouldnt be hurt if it didnt make it. And yest, it was on Dead Rising as well. Pretty much good for drummers and vocals.

Midnight Oil - Beds are Burning

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10BbpGKLXqk
yep a "Oh that song" song.

M.S.G. - Armed & Ready

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lutSUPNumgI
Some older metal to join greats like Motorhead, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden.

Nancy Sinatra

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7OU7Nezg7Ls
These Boots are made for Walking - Yep a golden oldie. Female vocal, songs pretty much self explanitory.

Nazareth - Hair of the Dog

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEG0-3xlAkg
Something about yelling "Now your messing with...with a SON OF *****!" that justs pumps me up. Dont know why. HMX...please dont butcher it...

Nevermore - Enemies of Reality

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUYCsgDDrEQ
Hard to sing vocals, and its Metal. Deal with it, they are awesome! Good luck on any of those insturments.

Pitchshifter - Please Sir

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_I0_eIv4Er0
Neat drumming, singer is alittle annoying. Listened to this guys heavy when I was into groups like this and Prodigy.

Powerman 5000 - Super Nova Goes Pop

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiU4bf1q4U4
Bands sound like...Statix X, Rob Zombie, Rammstein. Figured they P5000 deserved a mention.

The Prodigy - Breathe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J8Ba-GhgRMU
What, I mention them and then not request at least one. HA! Fools!

Psychotica - Ding Dong Dead

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2MWicRkxfk
Might not be usuable. At least I dont hear a Bass, so I might be tone deaf for this one. Anyway, maybe I'll expand your musical tastes with this one

Rose Tattoo - Rock 'N' Roll Outlaw

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oRVvUKKLcoM
Some southern Rock to accompany The Outlaws, Skynnyrd, and SRV when hes released.

Sammy Hagar - Space Station No. 5

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKQmejAhoiw
Come on, its S.Hagar! He doesnt seem to get enough love, and hes a legend in my book.

Saxon - Wheels of Steel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8kQWYmncCj4
Some more old Classic Metal.

Skindred - Nobody

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIjlKwmr_iQ
One hit wonder in what I call Raggae Metal. Something you gotta hear at least once, its gonna be a love it hate it song. Very begining of the vid is not part of the song.

Slaughter - Fly to the Angels

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec2k5rw5V2I
My favorite 80s ballad ever.

Snot - Joy Ride

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWGXFvjbsQo
Awesome song, probably helped give birth to the Modern Rock we have today

Supernova Syndicate - Heavin's Creepin In

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzQFPyvVVqk
Yep Dead Rising. Have you found out I'm a large game nerd yet? Love the heavy low guitar riff. Best song off that game IMHO

Wayne Static* - Not Meant For Me

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrKbEClGG-c
Lead singer Wayne Static fronts band Korn in this one.

Ok I trimmed this down pretty Heavily. Give me your thoughts on this, if anything I hope it perks HMX on other songs that are out there that may be easy to get a hold of or may translate well into Rockband. Most of all I hope readers find something on here that they add to their music collections. Also Now you see how spread out my musical tastes are. See even Metal heads can show love and compation <---total lie

Anyway hope you have extra time to sample each one. If you know something obscure or sorta along this lines, drop it in this thread, share it with all but more importantly me. I would love to see someone expand my Zune with the 554 artists already on and 1390 songs. Thank you for your time and no you may not have my man card.

Well, I'm not sure if you know it or not, but HMX definitely knows Accept's "Balls to the Wall", as well as Billy Squire's "Lonely is the Night" as they were both featured in GH:80's.

Personally I'd like to see some more industrial bands. Props to Legion37 for the psychotica reference but I think "Flesh and Bone" would have been a better song pick from them. song pack maybe?

Some additional choices for DLC:

"Prime Time Loser" by Bile
"Latex" by Chemlab
"The Last Firstborn" by Celldweller
"Slave" by More Machine than Man
"Lust" by Velvet Acid Christ
"God Bless the Models" by Zeromancer
"Suffering You" by 16 Volt
"What About us?" by Ministry

Psychotica music is actually hard to find.

I have a couple Celldweller tracks but not that one

liking the Velvet Acid Christ & 16 Volt...

I'm more for the whored out Ministry songs "Just One more fix", "NWO", and, "Jesus Built My Hotrod". I also like Psalms 69 but the lyrical content probably wont let that get approved and it wont convert very well

Legion, I like your list, but these are my picks for some of your bands. I also added a couple more obscure bands. For Nazareth, quite honestly, I'd love to have the entire lp available for download

Nazareth-Miss Misery (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZa_A8DtHPU)

Bob Seger-Her Strut (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOYppTlU42U)

oh noes necro!

adding some more bands

KMFDM - Megalomanic

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWmHAVGoRFI

I found this gem since I dont listen much to them, I only really knew them by the song "Go to Hell (MTV Remix)" which would never make it into RB. This one has a good techno beat to it. Just Bass beware...no Bass

Sevendust - Black

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7O90WBpvlNk

Use to listen to them alot. And I get to see them live with Disturbed and Skindred this month \o/ El Paso getting some big names lately ^^

Apocalyptica - I'm Not Jesus (Ft. Corey Taylor)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrlvOYUay_4

Corey Talyor from Slipknot singing!? No wai! I've defended Slipknot many times but doesnt matter. I dont know if it would work, since as you can see in the vid, Apoc uses Cellos instead of guitars

Pop Evil - 100 in 55

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXbqRkwjcbo

Sorta like Nickelback, but better singing

Queensryche-Eyes Of A Stranger

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlPiLkO004I

80s Metal that quite wasnt Hair Metal

Temple of the Dog - Hunger Strike

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjNjJR9jUGo

Like R.E.M. and a couple other bands like it. Actually suprised this group hasnt made it to RB yet. Forgot to mention this was a band fronted by Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Guitarist and drummer of Pearl Jam...speaking of Chris Cornell...

Audioslave

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D1j823QH6cU

Band is technically Rage Against the Machine but fronted by Chris Cornell from Soundgarden since Soundgarden broke apart and Del la Rocha left RATM

Oleander - Why I'm Here

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYPxKZSDErA

Actually a good song, maybe to slow for the RB elite that would whine

Drowning Pool - Bodies

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO_QntXc-c4

Sad the singer died, I liked this band a lot when I was younger Course I was into groups like this back then (Static-X another big one)

HELLYEAH - You Wouldn't Know

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D-Btj1D7lvk

Found this song on a video game lol decent newish band

I'll bring more bands up, hopefully I'm expanding some of your playlists. Keep yours coming too, I picked up a good 5-6 new songs on mine ^^

I'd like Counting Blue Cars and some BTO. I'm sure there's a few others I'd like, but I didn't really look very hard. By the way, since when is BTO not requested much?

Honestly looking on here BTO doesnt get requested much.

regardless a oldr band like that not in Rockband is alittle sad IMHO...

Then again there is a bunch of bands not in Rockband that still blows my mind lol

Legion37

The Bravery - Believe

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6G7ZLaiPxu0

Tantric- Breakdown

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9gogisNWDo

The Vanished - The Longest Goodbye

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Perfj4mCwGQ

Silverchair - The Door

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u95b6uLp4NQ

Love this song by them...cant find a studio version of this song...so you get a live version :/ but you get a kick ass solo played with his teeth lol

Meat Puppets - backwater

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-HFbNhTTKQ

I honestly see this song coming to Rockband or GH honestly

Crossfade ~ So Far Away

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM-Y-hUmwpA

Theory Of a Deadman - Hate My Life

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bx1KvM-txJw

Lyrics are real emo, though the music itself doesnt fit in there. They were in El Paso with Nickelback not too long ago, Radio Station have been whoring their single alot down here too

Rev Theory - Light It Up

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMOZw9-XNAg

Anyone that knows me, I like heavy deep guitar riffs, I expect big things of this band. Heavy Rock if your into stuff like this.

Will bring more ^^

Orphaned Land - Ocean Land
*snip*
Friend introduced me to them, awesome Israeli band.

I like them, nice Israeli metal band. Kinda wierd sounding so I had to continue to listen through it since you can hear the middle eastern music influence in it (sorta sounding like a Muslim type sounding song in there..maybe a jab at muslims?)

I like it though

Flux_Capacitor22

Man, I forgot all about Tantric. Brings back memories. Backwater was good too, though I had to look away from that video.

Yeah, I think Ocean Land would provide a unique challenge for the game, with the solo at the beginning, the dual vocalists, and the drum and vocal closer.

Kamelot feat. Shagrath - March of Mephisto
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gnFbwRmkc4
Another song that sounds fun to play, although a little lighter on guitar, and the singer needs to turn his ego down a bit in this video. The drums sound fun as hell, though.

Legion37

couple more

Marcys Playground - Sex and candy

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKl_7zK3fbI

Local H - Bound for the Floor

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7oM8QXdp8wU

The Breeders - Cannon Ball

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7AsId-qVIb4

Die Mannequin - Do It or Die

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12hLB0Mz2rg

Sonata Arctica - Destruction Preventer

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yeRlWd9YOQ

takes a bit to get into the song, sorta like Dragonforce, listen to those blistering solos :o

hope your collective playlists are growing with new bands/songs, I'll keep posting as I find some

This was suppose to be my 666 post, all metal and stuff. Alot of this stuff is super not known stuff so the likes are to the IAC so...but heres some stuff I found to like

Motorpsychos - The Story of Suzy Sydal

http://iacmusic.com/play2.aspx?songID=32899&source=Genre%20Chart%20Single

Female fronted metal band.

Toxic - Big Womb

http://iacmusic.com/play2.aspx?songID=43153&source=Genre%20Chart%20Single

Mix of Death Metal and Thrash, love the guitar riff in this one

Raygun Girls - Look at Me

http://iacmusic.com/play2.aspx?songID=47538&source=Genre%20Chart%20Single

Some more female fronted metal. Great voice in this one, I expect big things from this band.

Jesse Adams - M20

http://iacmusic.com/play2.aspx?songID=69726&source=Genre%20Chart%20Single

Ignore the first 10-15 seconds, thats just the back drop music. I would guess this is melometal, they call them experimetal. But I guess the best genre would be Prog metal.

Mythosis - Soul Reflection

http://iacmusic.com/play2.aspx?songID=37520&source=Genre%20Chart%20Single

Some more Thrash

Positive Anger - Gapping out

http://iacmusic.com/play2.aspx?songID=61331&source=Genre%20Chart%20Single

Female Fronted Metal

Psycho Road - Total Extreme

http://iacmusic.com/play2.aspx?songID=35406&source=Genre%20Chart%20Single

Kinda sounds like Rage Against the Machine but harder. Guitarist has some Tom Morello moves

I'll keep 'em coming
