What were favorite bands in the 90's?

For everyone out there old enough to remember the 90's What was your favorite current band during that time? Some of my favs were and still are NIRVANA, Ugly Kid Joe (hasn't stood the test of time as much but still good) Pearl Jam, The Verve Pipe, R.E.M, Metallica (when they were still good) Sublime, RATM and Green Day. What bands were your favs in the 90's?

nirvana, REM, shudder to think, fugazi, catharsis, i hate myself, and damad were heavy hitters.

Nine Inch Nails, Björk, Radiohead, Portishead, Massive Attack, Pearl Jam, Pulp, Oasis. Nirvana too I suppose. Overall it was a decade with a lot of variety, despite people only ever refering to the grunge years.

Outside of NIN and Alice In Chains I didn't get much out of that decade.

Bikini Kill and L7 were up near the top then as well as Babes in Toyland and Bratmobile and pretty much the wide net of the genre, as were The Cure and Sisters of Mercy.
