Ok, so I bought this Bundle on Tuesday, and have played it every day for a couple hours since, switching up on the instruments. Love the Mic, and no Problems with the Guitar either. And, until yesterday, no problems with the Drums until...
In the middle of a song, I noticed I had a icon pop up saying to hit the Bass Pedal, but the whoel thing was that I WAS hitting it. Turns out the Pedal isnt registering. So I check the wires shake the pedal around check it top to bottom to see i fanythign is cracked or loose but everything seems intact.
So I give the drums a break the rest of the night, and I come to play today. For the first.. 5 songs or so it worked normally, very responsive. But after those songs, it started to happen again. Pushing down on the pedal would give me no response, or about a half a beat delay, causing missed notes. And then after 15 seconds it will work fine again briefly, and then go back to being problematic
And now because of this odd problem, Im not sure if its a problem with the pedal itself, the wire connecting the pedal to the kit, or maybe something isnt working right in the kit.
I am just curious if anyone else has experience this particular kind of Bass Pedal problem, where everything is intact but its just not functioning right. Its just insanely frustrating knowing I spent 170+ on a game because I want to support Rock Band and Harmonix and the great work they do, but when I get a defective item, and read the literally dozens upon dozens of other instrument related issues, it just makes you wonder if maybe they should of take another couple months to check the durability and the reliability of their instruments.
I love the game so much, but this is just eating away at me. Especially when you don't know the exact cause of the problem.

I'm having same issue. After about an hour of playing the base pedal just randomly stops working. I have to play around with the cables or give up using on the drums for a while. I come back later and set it back up and it begins working for about an hour.
This is my first game from Harmonix and I am none too impressed. I hope either this can be helped on this forum, or I'll return the item as broken.
Thanks if anyone has any hints or suggestions.

My first thought is the wire. It needs to be all the way in there, and seems like it would be possible to leave it loose enough to come out. Alternatively, the wire end on the pedal could be flaky and need to be replaced :(
Another possibility is that you are fatiguing and hitting the pedal late/early. Does it register before the song or during freeform sections?
Otherwise, get your free replacement from EA.
And always remember, problems seem worse on the internet. It's possible that all 10 people who have this issue will post on these forums, and the problem will look incredibly widespread, when it's actually very rare.

ill probably have to replace my bass pedal soon.
i havent been having any problems with it but im slowly crawling my way up to expert, and its almost impossible not to break it with how crazy the charts are. O:

Yeah I mean maybe its somethign internal in the bass pedal thats loose but the wire seems perfectly fine.
And I'ts not a issue of fatigue as I would even appreciate a mis hit, but instead nothing registers. Theres soem sort of connectivity issue. Ive checked all parts many times over and am just stumed. What Im goign to do is bring my pedal to my friends house and see if it works there or not. Thats the only thing I can think of before having to send it back to EA

Just checkign in on this topic today to see if anyone else is having a similar problem. I don't really see any posst about it so I think I am in the very small minority with this problem. *Sigh* Guess im gonna have to send the whole kit back I guess then.

I bought RB the day it came out and the first thing I did was set up the drums. I went into the tutorials to get a feel for things and thats when I noticed that the bass pedal wasn't working. I unplugged/restarted and everything else but the thing just wouldn't register when I would press it. I decided to just use the online exchange service. Too bad it was right before Thanksgiving weekend, since I have yet to see my package that is supposed to be a 2 day air parcel.
Anyway, my friend brought his pedal over and we used it on my kit and it works just fine. So perhaps you should just send off for the pedal. I guess I'll just do more vocals and guitar until the stinkin pedal shows up, most likely Thursday or Friday at this rate. Good luck.
