non working drum pads

hey. new rock band owner here so go easy.

I just purchased RB2 tonight and when i set it up the drum pads were unresponsive. Can anyone tell me what is goin on?

Can you be a little mroe specific? Did they work in the menus? Did they not hit all the notes? Not hit any of the notes?

Not that it matters too much, but which system?

It was unresponsive everywhere. the buttons would work but the pads themselves didnt do anything. do you think i might've set something up wrong, or maybe they're faulty pads

There isn't a whole lot to set up except for the base, then the pads onto the base. If the buttons work you're connected to the system, sounds like a faulty set to me.
