Green pad hits randomly on its own

I just bought Rock Band 2 and noticed during calibration that the drums would not wait for me to hit them to continue. I singled it down to the green pad. Would anyone be able to help me figure this out... I can take the pad apart if needed. Just want to see if anyone else has had this problem and how they fix it or not.

1. Make a photocopy of your receipt. 2. Go to support.ea.com and click the rock band warranty link. 3. Follow the instructions there.

Don't take it apart, have them send you a good set.
