I don't want to shell out about 70 dollars for another instrument for Rock Band 2 (or any other music game); I already have about 4 guitars (some on other platforms or not compatible with each other). Without the new guitar for RB2, I can't do the automatic calibration thing, which would prove useful for all of my music games in general. Every time I do the calibration (hitting the green pad/strum to the beat of the sound ETC.), I get different numbers with different results and the game is still off sync (I somewhat test in fills or during freestyle mode).

HDTV Specs:
Name - Sony Bravia 50" (Uses projection lamp, but has an LCD screen
Model - KDF 50E3000
Screen Setting - I have turned on "Game Mode".
Sound - Through the built in TV speakers (S-Force Surround is off, sound setting set to standard instead of dynamic ETC.,)
Cable(s) - HDTV Component cables (the one with the HDTV/TV switch, has red-green-blue and the regular white-red audio, official Microsoft cable/accessory).

Thank you for your help!

first thing how are you patched in your tv? if you dont have a hdmi cable i strongly suggest getting one(there are a lot of cheap one online 15$ or so)
The analog inputs on most hd tv's have ridiculous amounts of latency (up to 15 ms) using hdmi you can play with 0 latency.

Okay, the reason that I don't use HDMI is because I have two (yes, 2) Xbox 360s (on "Premium", and one "Elite"), the Elite got the RRoD and I couldn't use it. Since the Elite had the built in HDMI, I used that one primarily. The Premium package (white box, with 20 GB hard drive) didn't have HDMI built in (it wasn't available at the time). I played on my Elite with HDMI but I still experienced lag, or was it the fact that I left on calibration settings from the other Xbox? I know of the HDMI converter thingy for older Xbox 360s, but I wanna keep the white one cool by using my Nyko Intercooler to save it from the RRoD.

P.S.: What do you mean "patched"?

Have you tried any of the settings that are in the instruction booklet? For my Bravia (32") the LCD1 default of 60/30 works wonders.

Every time I did the calibration myself, my numbers were at least 7-10ms away from it, thanks! But, will the different Bravia sizes affect its lag? Or will they pretty much have the same hardware with no difference in lag? Oh, 60 for the audio, and 30 for the video lag ms right? Thanks again!

I have a 55" sony bravia and in the settings somewhere you will find game mode, you simply turn it on and you have greatly reduced LAG.

Prior to turn the 'game mode' ON

Turn the 'Theatre Mode' OFF !
