Not necessarily hip-hop, meaning you can post a RATM song or Beastie Boys song. What is your favorite rap song? Mine is The Bomb by Rivers Cuomo. It is originally by Ice Cube, but I like Rivers' version better.

Public Enemy - Bring the noise

Modern rap is horrible, 90's rap isn't that bad.

Pain of Salvation's Daniel Gildenlöw raps on some songs (most notably on the song Spitfall, which is a long tirade against commercial rap and the poor example gangsta rappers are setting for serious rappers and musicians), which is pretty much the only rap in my collection. It's not really my thing.

I can't pick just one, it would be like asking us to name our favorite rock song, its impossible(if you actually listen to hip-hop, not cuomo covers)

Dance with the devil by Immortal technique. I love this song because its a sick and twisted song of what young people in the ghetto go through just to be part of their society. It also has a sick beat. If you want to hear rap at its highest potential you should listen to this.
**warning contains violant lyrics and cursing**

And If you like this song you should check out "Harlem streets" and "You never know" by Immortal technique.

Probably Bring The Noise or She Watch Channel Zero by PE, followed by Today Was A Good Day by Ice Cube. I do like quite a few Eminem songs too, much to my girlfriend's chagrin.

On the funnier side, anything by the thuper lithpy death obthethed rapper Necro, and Ghetto Santa by Spyder-D.

There's nothing like driving home from work when a song from "Hefty Fine" pops up on my Zune....Everytime I glance down and see the album cover, I just have to shake my head and say "Jimmy, you got me again!"
