Simple fact; there aren't many songs on RB with female vocalists. Of the few songs we have, even fewer have frontwomen that deliver truly jaw-dropping vocal performances. So I came up with a few songs where the ladies will keep the guys 'in-check'.

Somebody To Love - Jefferson Airplane
Crazy On You - Heart
All Fired Up - Pat Benatar
Piece of My Heart - Big Brother and the Holding Company

Of course, there's Tina Turner and many others, so if you have suggestions, post them... or don't. :p

I'd way rather have stuff like :

Eyes set to kill
Nightwish
Paramore
Katy Perry
Arch enemy

Now thats some good music with girl singers imo

Yeah, but they'd get ground into the dirt against the vocal performances of the ones I listed. I have nothing against those you mentioned, I was just going for a 'vocal legends' setlist composed of female vocalists. But, to each their own.

Piece of My Heart - Janis Joplin

You mean Big Brother and Company. That was the band she was in when she did it, although performs it as well after they broke up, its nice to acknowledge where it originates. (Like Fire, Foxey Lady, or Purple Haze is by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, not just Jimi).

Maybe you haven't heard Nightwish cause Tarja Turunen or even Anette Olzon sure as hell wouldn't be beat in some kind of dirt related metaphore by anyone at technical singing ability

I would suggest white rabbit by Jefferson Airplane. Way sick intro.

I actually meant to list it as Big Brother and the Holding Company but I guess I was thinking about putting Janis in so I just typed her name.

I also was going to pick White Rabbit instead of Somebody To Love, but Grace Slick does more... at least to me, in Somebody To Love.

I've heard Nightwish, Tarja and Anette are really good, but I still prefer someone like Anne Wilson because of the way she uses her voice... She can get very crazy/creative/flashy with her voice which just screams 'I'm Rock and Roll, hear me roar.'

Heart
Janis Joplin (Big Brother & the Holding Company)
Joan Jett & The Blackhearts

Said it a few times in various threads - we need moar Donnas! I know we got 'New Kid In School' from their '*****in' album, but that was an Itunes 'bonus' track and you know what that means?

'Not good enough for the album'.

*Insert horrible advertisement for Female Fronted Metal thread*

However, the four you selected in the OP are great choices. I'd buy all of 'em. :D

Yes to Lita Ford. And Pat Benatar. And all the above.

I'd add The Cranberries to the list, and I'm amazed that there's no luvvin' for Sheryl Crow...a *true* rock goddess. The Janis Joplin of our generation.

Maybe we should just take 1 song from the bands/artists listed and just turn it into a giant, multitalent download pack. :p

The Go-Gos
Heart
Lita Ford
Pat Benatar
Quarterflash
Vixen

I agree with this. Anne Wilson has character in her vocals. They'd be fun to sing.

I don't mind if they add entire Paramore, GoGos or Yeah Yeah Yeah albumns... just don't put them on RB3. Make them downloadable content so that I don't have to hear any of it anymore:-) I never thought I'd get to the point where I actually want to delete songs; but I'm so sick of things like "That's What You Get" coming up in the tour.

Yeah, I need more songs for my all-girl band. Here are a few songs that I think would work great as DLC. Holding my breath for:

Vixen - Edge of a Broken Heart
The Donnas - Fall Behind Me or Take It Off
Joan Jett - I Hate Myself for Loving You
Veruca Salt - Volcano Girls
Paramore - Emergency (or basically anything from them!)
Pat Benatar - Little Too Late or Invincible
:D
