Hey, I don't know if you guys at Harmonix will see this, but I thought of some things that would be pretty rock...or, at least I thought. I just want to see what people would think of these ideas...
1. Make some of the clothing in the game available for real-world purchase for on the Rock Band online store! I think it would be really cool to be able to dress like your character, if you so choose, and making real the outfits in the game would be really cool. (I know it would cost a lot, so it would be cool, though not necessary)
2. Make new DLC, not only of songs, but of new outfits, haircuts, and guitars, for the game available for download for our characters! It will add to the rock experience by giving us more choice!
3. Don't let our money go to waste! A HUGE seller for your games would be to make the DLC work with future installments of the Rock Band Franchise. I'm peeved that I wasted all that money on GHII DLC, only so I can't play them in GHIII. Don't make the mistake Activision did; please allow our DLC transfer over to the next game! People will love you for it.
It's just a thought, though I think some of them would work well. Everyone, let me know what you guys think of this idea!

Judging by some of the items in the rock band store, I think they already have a similar idea to your #1.

#1 great idea and I think Apples is correct.
#2 I think they have said they are going to do this.
#3 I think most of us have said and thought this. But I also don't think that they are coming out with a RB game every year like GH. They have said they want to use DLC instead.

All are great ideas, but with #3, I think you forget that they are a Business. While yes it would make sense, keep fans, and be a stress relief for all of us that spent money.......unfortunately #1, that's programming limitations for new software. If they use a new engine or whatnot, then they would have to "port" each new song over and that would take time. Now you might say "use the current engine", but then the game wouldn't be that much "different" and they could have done it in patches or might not have done it at all. And then you gotta remember that once again, they are a business. They WANT to make money. By releasing a new game with new stuff to download, people will pay for it, and if they want to play the old stuff, they HAVE to buy Rock Band 1.......it's just the way Business goes man. Awesome idea, but I highly doubt it will ever happen.

Yes, they are a business. It would be a good business practice to include DLC in RB2. In fact, if theydidn't then there is little to not point in buying an RB2, if there is indeed an RB2, as the amount of DLC you will be able to get by then will be more then enough for a second game.
In fact, having DLC usable with RB2 would be an amazing ordeal not only for them, but for us as well. Having such a wide number of songs playable right out of the box, coupled with whatever new features and songs, would be a huge success.
