Hi Everyone. I got RB for my PS3, but haven't opened it. I'm thinking of just returning it for a refund because of all the problems that there seem to be. I want the game, and figured I could buy it again after awhile to see if they could get these problems fixed. It seems like it's been such a hassle for so many people, that I'm just leery.
What would you do?
Thanks.

The only people that are posting here are people that have problems (I'm not one of them). All the people that used to be on these boards are off playing the game.
I have it for the PS3 as well and everything works flawlessly. It's the best 170 dollars I've ever spent.

Yeah. I agree. Surely there are many more people with no problems. Thanks for your input.

I'm in the same boat. I bought a copy (for 360) on the release day, which is now sitting unopened in my living room. Given the issues with "pre-production" controllers, I wanted to see how it went. Boy, am I glad I waited.
You think everyone with faulty hardware is posting here? Not even close. You think the working parents in their 40s who bought it for the kids will bother? Heck, I'm pretty sure many won't even care about the pink notice and just bring it back to the retailer and raise hell.
The "there's way more people without problem out there and they're not posting" is flawed. Just take a look at the forum old-timers, those people that posted before release and now keep posting. That's a good, stable, not self-selecting sample, and among them many have had the guitar crapping out or a busted drum.
There are some forums with some posts about problems with a game, which is to be expected, and there is this forum with a huge proportion of posts about hardware issues. If you have buddies who bought it, how did they fare? Personally I know 3 people who bought the bundle: 2 busted guitars and 1 defective drum pad so far. Not really stellar and a pretty good match to what's being said on the forum.
The question now is not whether or not the game is plagued by widespread faulty hardware, it's what are Harmonix/EA going to do about it. So far, nothing special. Taking Thanksgiving into account (though really, who releases a game and then goes on Holiday?), I'm waiting for an announcement for this coming week. If they still don't acknowledge the issues and state how they're going to fix them, I'll bring back my unopened bundle for a refund. I'll be $180 less poor, avoid the hassle, and won't support a company selling a half-assed product until they get it right.
