Gotta go with my boy George. I love his Rickenbacker sound!

Why are you comparing Lead to rythym? This should be John Lennon vs. Richards or Harrison vs. Jones/Taylor/Wood/Whoever else.

Harrison is more technically proficient. I prefer Keef though. Big influence on my playing when I was in high school.

Keith Richards his solos were more phantasmal than Harrison's although they are both great guitarists :D

keith by far, i like his bluesy style mixed with ronnie wood's playing and not to mention hes like the template for any badass rockstar to abide by.

Keith. For all the reasons already mentioned.

Technically, it's George.
But I would much rather listen to Keith play. He gives the guitar a real personality.

And I love George (the only Beatle I really like), but Keith destroys him in songwriting ability as well.

George was the better player though not at the start. Keith was the better player at the start though the Beatles in the beginning were using much more complicated chord progressions than the Stones. I think when George started playing the sitar that he became better than Keith Richards. The guitar work on "And Your Bird Can Sing" aces anything by Keith Richard and for that matter maybe even Townsend. Parts of his playing on Abbey Road sound a little Clapton "The End" and "Something". Plus George came up with the backward guitar, and using tambour drones. Keith was a better rhythm player. It was Brian Jones who was more like George Harrison anyway like playing the sitar, tamboura and slide.

Keith puts more personality in his guitar work. I mean listen to Exile.

Some of Georges solo work is very impressive guitar-wise. Plus, Backwards guitar solo is a heck of a thing isn't it?
I pick George. But I think I may be underestimating Keith. He's REALLY good. but I just love George.

Keith really knows how to replicate Chuck Berry, so kudos for that.
