So my wife and son has their own PSN accounts.. They played solo and have gotten their band members just how they want them.
But now when you try to do LocalMultiplayer when I'm logged in, they can't use their own band members? They are forced to create completely new band members???
Again, this and no online WBT is complete let downs..

Can anyone verify if this is how it's supposed to work, or if there is a problem with how the OP's family is supposed to be logged in? And is this a PSN issue or something that would affect the 360 as well? My wife and I are going to be doing a lot of local multiplayer...

I understand your want for your families band members to be useable under your account but WBT online would be dumb you want to have to go back and unlock everything again. Also you can't switch bandmembers in WBT(very bad thing) so once you started a band for WBT online you would need to play with the same 4 people and they would all need to play so it wouldn't work.
I do think that since I had 2 friends over the first night I can't continue without having them all here is dumb. I should beable to cintinue with only 2 people or change a member if I want.

Just play mulitplayer under one Live account name and you won't have that problem.

Actually, he said they DO have their own PSN accounts.
I've encountered the same thing with the XBL accounts. The first few times we played (on 11/21), it would save to both of our XBL accounts. Now, its just recording on the 'bandleader' account...It makes me cry. :(

Hmmm... That would have an impact then on gaining achievements for people playing in local multiplayer, right? It would appear that even with multiple people you could only get the achievements for BWT on the band leader's account... Unless I'm reading this wrong.

Incorrect. Only the band leader needs to be in the band, the other 1-2 players can be any character.

Are the instruments logged in as well on their instruments? If so, sounds like a bug.

Again, this is a PSN account.. Not Live.. It's PS3..
Anyway..
Having all my family use band members under my account is not a good solution.. When they play solo, thier stats would be under my name..
This forces everyone to have to manager many band members..
We have three accounts.. Wife, son, and mine..
We all three started solo playing.. So all three of us created a singer, guitarist, and drummer..
Once we started to get the feel of things, we wanted to try a band thingy.. So we tried quick play, but they couldn't find their own band members.. So we thought maybe we need to create a band.. Still, they couldn't use their own band members.. So, now they both need to create a new band member for each instrument they want to play not being able to use the customs they earned on their own.
Now if my Wife wants to create a band, my son and I have to go through ALL THIS AGAIN. My son can't utilize what he earned on his solo band member on his account and he can't utilize we he earned with the band member he's been using on my account. Same goes for me..

Well, to put it more simple.. We are forced to create and maintain 27 band members if each wants a band and want the option to switch between instruments.. That's just silly.. We don't live Rock Band and it always makes it look like I'm controlling the game over my family limiting their fun..

Are you able to sign into their PSN accounts on their individual controllers? That's how it should work on Live, not sure about PSN.

I don't see any way of doing that.. So, do we PS3 owners again get gimped with something that can be done with other systems? Sigh.
