Wow, Kotaku has been putting a lot of RB info (3 posts in a row) but took the videos down.

that's cool actually.. since I'd be buying two guitars for party use anyway, I might do one wired and one wireless.. sure only one person can go bananas at a time, but it'll be good to be able to fall back on wired when i don't have batteries or it's not charged or however it works

Is this for both PS3 and xbox 360 versions?
Because I'm not sure a USB wired version would be all that great for the PS3...

No clue, it was just labeled as a FAQ, not console specific.

It's a bit dissapointing to hear that there will be wired guitars, as that means it's almost inevitable that any bundled setups will not include a wireless one.
At least it is unlikely that there will be the strategic delay of a wireless guitar for the sake of getting people to rebuy periferals now that Red Octane is out of the picture.

Wireless jumps the price a lot.
I never understand what the obcession is with wireless. It's not like you're on stage.

If a Wii version comes out (hopefully) it almost needs to be wireless (unless they use the GC ports; I'll sue).

I'm cool using wired guitars. I've had many drunken Guitar Hero parties and nothing bad has ever happened. I'm kinda surprised that nothing went horribly wrong, but yeah, if it keeps the price down I'm more than happy to go with wired guitars.

God i'm glad that they have wired ones.
I hate using the wireless because they always run out of batteries.

Man, if I had a nickel for every time I got that "You're rocking out a bit too hard" screen.... I'd probably have about a dollar....
It happens more than I care for so bring on the WIRELESS! woohoo! Even though the 360 is gonna probably be more expensive :( I wanna be able to jump around, throw the guitar above and behind my head without worrying about a damn cord coming unplugged! Rock on

The thing i hate about wireless ones is.. the battery life.. batteries are such a drag , always run out when you least expect them to.. then you gotta go to the store to get some.. then you cant play... aaaugh!

How many nickels are in a dollar? 10? 20?
Yeah, I think by having a tiny TV in safe guarding against that happening because I have to be so close to the screen to see what's going on, lol

When people were clamoring for a GH2 360 wireless guitar, I was of the same opinion. Now after owning one for several months, wireless sounds pretty good.
First, the cord is never long enough for my large TV, requiring an extension cable. The cord is forever getting twisted or caught on something. I frequently have to unplug the thing to get it untwisted or untangled. I had one incident where someone tripped on it, nearly pulling the console off its shelf. The area the cord runs through has a number of other cables, so it's just "one more thing" to get in the way.
I still don't think it's a necessity, and it's not as big a deal as people are making it out to be. It would be nice though.

I'm glad that they're offering both. I think I'll go for wired since I hate worrying about battery life. Wireless does sound like it would be fun though. Hm. At least there's plenty of time to think about it.
