What purpose does the little white button on the PS3 strat serve thats located where the cord would come out if it were a wired model.

It's a connectivity button that you are supposed to press when you first try to sync up your guitar with your wireless dongle. After that first time it's pretty much unnecessary.

That's not the one he's talking about, look where the plug for the amp would really go.

On that note, I have no idea and thought at first that it was just a piece of plastic in there, but after you said something I checked and it does act like a button. The only thing I noticed was that it turned of the light on the PS button for a couple of seconds.

Wonder if it's a button on the 360 version as well.

Well, damn you, now I'm really curious

Do you mind telling me what he is talking about?

I see two buttons. The PS button which is on every controller to turn on/off the game or system and will take the guitar out of sleep mode.

And there is a little tiny white button almost hidden under that grey part of the guitar which is a connectivity button which they tell you to press to sync up your guitar the first time you play it.

Am I missing something?

Ok. The little instruction booklet that came with it said to press it to sync up with the dongle the first time you turn on the guitar. After that first time it's pretty much useless.

Well, you want to get all technical on me and read the instructions..... fine then. I of course, am one of those ignorant ones who don't bother and ask stupid questions.

Odd though, I never used it to sync up when I hooked up my Strat. Maybe that's why I thought it was something different.

Well it took me 45 minutes to hook up my GH3 LP to my PS3 and it just happened randomly. So for this one I looked at the instructions real quick.

I really don't think the button had anything to do with anything. I plugged in the dongle, put in the batteries, and hit the PS button and it worked and just had to fix the HD lag.
