Thought I'd share a little tidbit I didn't see posted or written anywhere (It could be in the manual, but who reads them?)

You Tour score is NOT a cumulative effect on all difficulty levels. What that means is that you if you finish the game on Medium and earn 4million points, you can't go back to say easy or up to hard and keep adding to your Tour score.

My example is, I had 4,039,135 playing medium and a the first 5 hard songs. On medium I got 60,550 on medium Blitzkrieg Bop. I then switch to hard and first played the song to just get a 3 star, scored 35,000 or so. I check my tour score and no change. Then I played it one more time on hard and scored 84,650.

Check my Tour score and it went up to 4,063,235

So New score 4,063,235 - old score 4,039,135 = 24,100

Medium score 60,550 + 24,000 = 84,650 which is the hard score.

Anyway, I think I like this scoring system alot better the GH system. But that may just be a matter of taste.

Not a big revelation, but thought I'd share.

Aha! That's why if you look at the differentials in the scores in the top 100, the difference is a far less than a score of an average song...(50k or so?) I really like this scoring system since it makes players try to perfect a song instead of just plowing through a mass amount of songs on different levels. Thanks for the post!
