whats the point of the guitars for sale?

I went to the rockshop and i saw the same guitars over and over, for higher and higher prices, but there is nothing different about them??? whats the point?

Different years means higher cost I suppose.

There is actually a difference between the guitars you think are the "same," but it really more of a difference that only real guitar heads probably appreciate. Most of the more expensive guitars seem to be vintage ones from what I can tell.

they couldve added more guitars like the Explorer! :( or the other type of flying V ... the longer bigger one with round corners...

There's a great deal more to a guitar than it's looks. Build quality for example.

i know that, but i was thinkin ESP models, other kinds, not just jacksons and fenders.

maybe we'll see other companies endorsing as times goes on. available as DLC perhaps. but yeah as someone else said its just for looks. i was curious if they used the extra animation power to differentiate between using a guitar w/ a tremolo and one w/o but they just bend the strings on screen i think like in guitar hero.

however you have to realize that some of these items are VERY expensive and would require a lot of time to build up that much cash to spend on one time. i don't believe you get every single thing in the game as a completion reward. factor in online gameplay and some of those instruments become almost hayabusa like. i wish there were more drum sets.

There are also minor cosmetic changes on some vintage models. Again, only a guitar freak will notice, so everyone else can just ignore them :D

I love the guitars. Its nice to have some with the worn finish and various models with different pick guards or the semi hollow body Tele. I'm not big on fantasy guitars and the inclusion of Gretsch make me miss Gibson a lot less.

They have a few Jaguars and a Tornado, as well as a lot of Jacksons and Gretsch guitars.

Each one you think is the same has a different sound...if you were into guitars you would understand.

In the game = looks

It's just cosmetics for your character.
