Why are they picking the crap songs, rather than the hits? These artists all have songs that are WAY more popular, so why aren't we seeing those tracks?

Actually who the hell are you to say they are crap songs when OBVIOUSLY you've never even given them a listen. Bowie and especially Mick Ronson, his guitarist for all 3 of those songs are extremely underrated artists. It's ****ing idiots like you that don't even deserve to own the game. Don't talk about **** if you don't even know what you're talking about.

Listened to them all, they all suck. You might want to seek help, its a video game message board that your getting all bent out of shape on.

You hate all the songs? "Heroes" is a great Bowie song even though I'm not that much into him and it's very popular.
How can you hate the classic Sabbath songs? Those are most certainly popular. Buddy Holly is another popular song.
And on the biggest note, unlike the songs that were on the main setlist they aren't trying to pick the most famous songs by an artist (see Creep, Radiohead) they want to pick songs that may be technically difficult for a particular instrument or may be a blast to play but not necessarily popular.
Just look at the Metallica songs. Obviously, "Enter Sandman" is their most played song. But the Metallica pack taps back into that old-school Metallica market and is going to get many more people to buy it even though it isn't necessarily their most "popular" songs.

Yeah I meant him lol. But seriously odds are this schmuck listens to either harder metals like death and power metal exclusively or is some whiny teeny-bopper who listens exclusively to crap like Linkin Park, Korn, My Chemical Romance, or other new music that sounds like commercial crap.

Listening to underground music doesn't make you cool.
I have to disagree that putting in older / less popular tracks is going to help the game. Its a party game that is meant to be played by everyone. If people don't know the songs, whats going to make them want to play? My parents might not be capable of doing the guitar or drums, but they can sing. Problem is, they want to sing songs they are familiar with.
If your going to do Bowie, why wouldn't you choose a classic track like Under Pressure? Everyone knows the song and it will reach more peoples interest. The only song that is coming out this year is Buddy Holly that is recognizable by most.
Oh well, hopefully they realize people want hits, not b-sides.

a) Your taste in music isn't more correct than anyone else's.
b) You're over-generalizing. I can't stand metal, and I don't listen to the bands you listed (ok, I lied... I do love Linkin Park's first two albums), but I don't like the Bowie songs either. It's not even necessarily the fault of the songs... I like the Wallflowers cover of Heroes, but Bowie's version doesn't do it for me.

I know you're not generalizing or anything, but I would like you to know that I'm into a lot of death metal and other extreme forms of music but I still appreciate (and like a lot) classic tunes and old rock.
Just putting that out there. ;)

^^It was kinda; A bit like a Queen + David Bowie or rather Freddie Mercury and David Bowie duet. Also yeah Heroes also had Brian May joining in for some live performances of it.
And Mortally I didn't generalize cause I said (it's even in your quote of me): "this schmuck listens to either harder metals like death and power metal exclusively". So yeah, just setting that right. xD;

Not many Bowie fans will complain about getting these 3 songs (apart from the fact we'd like even more!)
It'll be great if they pick songs that appeal to the fans of each artist instead of just whatever tracks are popular on the radio.

Heroes is a great song. Moonage Daydream is pretty good too. I'll consider getting one or both.

with the DLC it's going to be nearly IMPOSSIBLE to make everyone happy, so this weeks not your week hang around until they release something you do like.
once they get the hang of coding these trx you'll see more and more especially if it makes as much $$$ as I think it will.
what's the status of the who-who's next full album DL they've been talking about?
FULL albums, that's where I see alot more people dropping coin.....but you should get a discount if you OWN the albums, or get a discount on a future purchase if you end up buying someone's album after hearing trx in the game, something along those lines to really make the music and the game more of a partnership.
as far as the next months content it looks solid from a general music lover standpoint, naturally I prob won't buy it all, but it's covering multi-genre's which is good.
got to love the sabbath and bowie packs just respecting those artists, just like to see bigger songlists for these and other artists in the future, it can't hurt 10-12 song packs that can be sold as bundles/albums or single songs.
the DLC is what's going to REALLY make RB a game that will have almost infinite replay value. (hope those peripherals can handle yrs of use....haha)
