I am thoroughly disappointed with one album release in particular which is No Doubt's Singles Album, which should contain ALL the songs!!!! I was psyched to get that album and just dl it w/o even thinking that they would even omit any songs from it. (yeah maybe i should have looked but that is BS b/c FULL album releases should include the FULL album!!!!!) BUT RB could not get all the songs...i dont care if its No Doubt's fault! i dont care WHOSE fault it is.....RB should be able to release ALL the songs from a full album release.
I heard rumors they got back together recently....so i can see the reason why RB2 puts out the album as a precursor to their reunion....BUT!...they should do what they HAVE to do...put the WHOLE album out!!!!..they didnt include the song "New" from the Singles album for certain reasons....i think its a load of BS! New is one of my FAVES! and they omit it for some dumb reason. Pffffshhhh..... there was one other song they didnt do...but "New" took the cake!!!!!
Rock Band! get the remaining songs....release them to for free if we bought the album, but release it to all if they have not...at least do us all justice and release ALL albums FULL! w/o certain songs missing. that sucked!

OP, based on your logic, this means that we 'should've' also gotten T.N.T. (Terror N' Tinseltown) with Dr. Feelgood. Way to go, buddy.
HMX has rights to the entire album. The other songs may be released in the future (especially "New"... RB3?)

Aside from his (or her) twisted sense of injustice, i actually would be interested to know why we couldn't get the other two songs, but i don't think its a mega issue really. We still got Sunday Morning, which is king of No Doubt songs.

Who knows? We didn't get the full Boston album either, or all of Nevermind.
I only like about half of the No Doubt singles album anyway. With the exception of Bathwater, I only got the songs from Tragic Kingdom. Normally I'm a fan of compilations because most bands' best work isn't all on one album. However, No Doubt's best work is pretty much all on Tragic Kingdom IMO.

I was confused as to why the No Doubt pack was missing the other songs as well. Hopefully we find out why at some stage and if they'll be coming out or not.

See here:

Or, just read this:
Stocking the digital bins, EW.com has learned exclusively, will be seminal full albums by Foo Fighters (The Colour and the Shape), Red Hot Chili Peppers (Blood Sugar Sex Magik), Jane's Addiction (Nothing's Shocking), Megadeth (Peace Sells... But Who's Buying) and Stevie Ray Vaughn (Texas Flood), along with a specially-compiled No Doubt Best Of collection. All are slated to roll out in the coming months, according to MTV Games.
That doesn't say anything about a full album - just a compilation. So suck it up, and realize it's not the end of the world.

heh heh..."based on my logic"...funny.
..totally didnt think of that! TNT was an awesome track!!
the Dr. Feelgood album was good.
yeah...maybe RB3. I think its sort of crappy tho...they shouldn't say "full" album....and like i said, new is a good track! i can see their logic in keeping it. but cmon...there's sooo much good music out there, they can afford to put them out!

It's not a question as to if they can "afford" to put them out. There's other factors involved:
(a) some bands want to sandbag their best stuff to build up demand. (see: Nirvana.)
(b) some bands don't want to release DLC or get involved in the whole gaming thing. (see: Led Zeppelin.)
(c) some bands are still infighting, so there's legal issues. (see: Pink Floyd. And Led Zeppelin.)
(d) some bands don't have their master tracks. Or, some tracks weren't recorded on a 4-track, meaning you can't engineer drums, guitar, bass and vocals into the game. (see: just about anything 30 years or older.)
In the case of No Doubt, I'd vote for (a).

Again, they never said "full album".

My theory as to why both songs weren't include are
Trapped in a Box
a.) was not officially a single off their debut album but was on the CD compilation anyway
b.) Legal issues (Originally the debut was indepently released then they signed to Interscope Records)
New
a.) Legal issues (Was originally off the 'Go' soundtrack then included on their Return of Saturn album)
To be honest it doesn't bother me at all. 'Trapped in a box' is hardly a classic and 'New' is ok I guess. I thought they would've problems getting 'it's my life' on the album considering it's a cover, I've got the essentials, I'm happy! :D
