Taken from the TeamXbox preview on Rock Band, the editor states:...the companies stated that wireless versions of the guitars will also be offered.

The companies also indicated that the guitars will come with a five-way switch, that will enable the player to inject some cool effects into the guitar parts. These are said to include wah-wah and echo. Also, though we only played wired prototypes in our trial runt, the companies stated that wireless versions of the guitars will also be offered.
