You guys should definitely start taking more fan requests. Some TOP 20 stuff from every year. Seems like somebody is picking their personal fav's. Maybe they don't like top 20 ... or maybe you guys just look for the stuff that is more fun to play than listen too??

Either way it's a lot more fun for the players if we get to do songs we like, and throw in some stuff that is just fun to play too.

ALSO... I noticed there's a PRETENDERS song coming next month.. but it's not.. BACK ON THE CHAIN GANG. If you're gonna do Pretenders you gotta do that one.. come on guys. That's gotta be the most popular song they did.

"Hand in Pocket" is so much better than "Back on the Chain Gang".

No, I really think that Back On The Chain Gang is their best song. It will probably be released eventually. But Brass In Pocket is good too.

What's even stranger... no Led Zeppelin in... GH, GH2, GH3, or RB. That's weird.

I'm trying to thinkg of other bands... without going into naming songs... b/c if they just pick from the "Top 10-20" they'll make a lot of people happy.

What about "The Eagles" for the older people.

"The Doors", maybe a "Beatles" song might have some good guitar/drum parts.

"Guns & Roses", "The Cranberries", "Journey"

"The Rolling Stones".

"Three Dog Night - Shambala"

"men at work - overkill"

Eww... "Blue Oyster Cult - I'm Burning For You". Some of these I can see playing.

"38 Special - Caught up in You"

"Eddie Money"

"The Go Gos - Head Over Heals".. for the girls.

I could dig into my rock/classic rock cd collection and come up with 100's of songs. The problem to me seems to be that games seems slanted more towards... punk rock.. garage bands... underground rock.. etc. It's too personalized to someones' particular taste and not that of the general public. I think it's GREAT that there's a lineup of downloads every week. BUT.. I've looked at them till the end of the year and it's the same stuff... punk, underground, heavy metal... and the few big names I recognize they're not TOP 10-20 songs from those bands. Where's the music you would see on say.. TIME LIFE top music collections from the 70'- Present? Or the stuff they play when VH1 does "I love the 80's", or the 70's, or the 90's, etc.??

I liked the upcoming David Bowie - HEROES but... :( The Wallflowers did a much better version for the Godzilla sountrack that won a Grammy too.

The Stones were in GH2, 3, and Rock Band.

GnR was in GH 2, and 3 but unfortunately absent in Rock Band.

But this has been rehashed so many times. They can't get Led Zeppelin as of right now. God bless 'em they've tried, but not yet.

In a recent interview they said progress was being made, but we've all heard that before.

"Hand in Pocket" is so much better than "Back on the Chain Gang".

I think it's "BRASS in Pocket". And yea.. that qualifies according to my criteria too b/c it's a TOP 10-20 song of theirs. But neither of these are picked oddly. I don't know which song would have say... been on the charts longer.. my fav. is Chain Gang still... but that's the sorta criteria they should use when picking stuff. They need to pick and choose wisely b/c we'll be on GH 9 and RB 7 till they start catching up with all the top music. There's so much out there... 1000's of songs. They're wasting valuable time investing so many resources into things most of us have never heard, nor are interested in playing. THey could all make these games for the rest of their lives and just concentrate on the top music.

So if there were to be just one Zeppelin song what do you think it should be?

Just for the sake of having a kick-ass drum solo I'm gonna have to say "Moby Dick"

There is never any Led Zeplin because, they won't give anyone the rights! Watch waynes world, It says no stairway and also on guitar hero 1 it says remember no stairway.

Oh hell yes. I would love Moby Dick/Bonzo's Montreux in there for the drum action.

But yes. Led Zeppelin does put licensees through the hoops apparently. For Jack Black's movie School of Rock, they apparently had to beg and plead their way to getting to use one Zep song, and they were given, not by choice, Immigrant Song.

So regardless of what Zep songs we may want to play, it's possible that if we get any, it'll be what Page and Plant want us to play.

"No stairway" is a musician joke (but they mean it) usually found in music stores. They don't want you to play it because every beginner guitar player learns it and plays it (poorly) all the damn time. It has nothing to do with the band.
