Cross-Platform?

Do You Think Cross-Platforming would be a good idea for Rock Band? The game would be fun wouldn't it? Since everything is the same except console wouldn't it be a good idea?

I would love cross platform , since many of the people here have 360 and i wont see them on RockBand for ps3..

considering that your not playing with regular controllers it could work, assuming you could get Microsoft and Sony to somehow work TOGETHER on it.

granted i dont know much, but i dont think there are any games out that go cross-platform multiplayer

I don't think it would happen...but I think it's a great idea and I wish it would happen. It would be great, it would definately increase the amount of people playing and if your friends have PS3 and you have a 360 being able to play with them still would be a big plus!

I hope so, but like everyone else says, I doubt it. That would be awesome since all of my friends have a 360 like me, but one of my friends has a PS3. I wish, that would be awesome!

it not possible. for wired controllers the 360 uses USB (i'm not sure if the ps3 does or not) and the PS3 and 360 wireless technology is different

Regardless of physical hardware problems or limitations I highly doubt something like this would be possible due to business and politics.

I just don't think Sony and Microsoft woudl work together on this one, considering their history of squabbling and bickering over exclusive titles, content etc. I think they'd just be thinking 'what's in it for us?' and there wouldn't be a good enough answer for them.

Getting the 360 and the PS3 to co-operate would be like trying to speak Chinese to a Frenchman. The online infrastucture is totally different between the two.

The PS3 would somehow have to be able to communicate with MS's Live Network. From a business perspective, that would be stupid for MS to allow, since the online components are part of their current market advantage over the PS3.

Flying pigs, cats and dogs living together, 360/PS3 cross platform compatibility.... all 3 are equally likely. Both companies are notorious for having proprietary, hands-off, locked down, incompatible systems. It would be nice to see but not probable.
