Ion Velocity Sensitivity gone after last update

Hi

It seems like the ion drum rocker has lost the velocity sensitivity in drum fill, Big Rock Endings AND Freestyle Mode (X360). A pity , specially for the Freestyle mode. Hey you guys @ HMX, can you please fix that?

This isn't a bug. It appears to be completely intentional, and was put in the last patch as a fix for the "I can't hear my drums during fills" problem.

I just noticed this too and thought it was a hardware problem with my ION. I would have at least liked to have been asked whether I want this update or not. Can it be rolled back?

Sorry, but if that is intentional, then it sucks big time!
At least in the "Free Play" Mode i wanna have velocitiy sensitivity. And by the way, this cannot be a solution for the named problem, You cannot take away a full feature (specially of an expensive Drumset) and sell this bug as a feature!


And by the way: The normal Rock Band 2 drums still seem to work normally. wtf?

WHAT?!? With me as an example, this also seems to be the case for PS3 users as well(I just got mine last night)which kinda sucks because I bought this thing for the velocity sensitivity, now it looks like I'll never be able to check it out...I'm really bummed.

To HMX: If this was because of the patch, can you make a NEW patch that gives the option of allowing velosity sensitivity or something?

I just noticed this too. Whatever is going on needs to be fixed. I too thought my drums were screwing up. Anyhow it's very lame.

I just got my kit for the PS3 today, man this really sucks, I almost want to take it back...

Yup. I have the PS3 version of the ION kit (got it 2 days ago). No velocity sensitivity here either.

UH excuse me but if this IS intentional, then im pretty f'ing pissed off! what the hell did we give $300 for.... It says on the box velocity sensitive feature for rockband2! how can they sell u something and then take it away!?!? If they dont fix this soon I'm pretty sure everyone that has an ion is gonna be mad! I mean what the hell is there problem ... the ion drum rocker is the premium drum set for rock band.... Somebody better fix this god damn it!

It turns out I misspoke earlier when I said it looked like this was intentional. HMXHenry posted in several threads tonight saying this was UNintentional and they are now looking into what happened.

Just got my Ions for PS3 too. Have you had any issues with the cymbals firing off on their own?
Very annoying, ruins streaks and messes up on menu.
Sticks fly against wall... bad scene.
I have received no reply from Alesis on the issue after 2 days.

If anybody wants the velocity back, you just have to disconnect the hard drive from the 360 (or PS3 if think it's the same...) so the software is not upgraded and all works fine like before :D

Glad I searched. Haven't played in awhile and noticed after the latest update no more velocity sensitive. Now I know but...bring it back!! Im so used to having it, its weird not to now.
