Ps2/Ps3 Ion Drum Kit Foot Pedal

So after waiting for so long, like many other ps3 RB2 users I got my Ion Drum kit in at Gamestop. There's only one problem the foot pedal will not work at all. The port and wire are both fine I tested it by plugging the left cymbal into the bass pedal port and it had no problems at all. Is anyone else having problems with this and know a way to fix it? I don't feel like losing my Ion for a month lol.

Also I'm trying to get my Ion Drumkit to work on GTXmania if anyone knows how to or could point me in the direction of a forum that has the info for it. I would appreciate it very much.

I got the set a couple of weeks ago and it was working fine up until yesterday. The foot pedal doesn't work at all and I just took the whole thing apart and see if I can fix the problem....
I emailed RB Customer service but haven't got a response yet.
