View Full Version : A Great Moment In My Life Thanks To Rock Band

This happened last night.
For the last month or so I've been flirting with this brunette from my Philo Class who is way out of my league. Well this is the week before finals and I finally struck up the courage to ask if she wanted to study with me. She said sure and I was just ecstatic. We decided to go to Starbucks and then back to my place to study more. Nothing happened during those three hours as I didn't get the courage to make a move. She said thanks for helping (truth be told she knew more) and I felt like a real schmuck.
Anyway after beating myself up over it I decided to just play some Rock Band to forget. I started a mystery set list on guitar. Well 10 minutes later I hear a knock on my door and it was Dana, she forgot her book. She walked in and got it of the table and noticed Rock Band. She asked to see me play it and I finished up Lounge Act by Nirvana.
Then here's the part that felt like a movie I'd fall asleep during. Out of all the 200 songs the game could play it picks The Cars "Just What I Needed." While playing I started doing some stupid guitar moves because she thought it was funny. After the main chorus she tells me to stop and says "You don't need to play old love songs to show that you like me." And well we kissed. She said that she'd be up for a real date after finals and we pecked lips again and she left.
All and all it was a disappointing night turned awesome thanks to Rock Band. I'm just happy I wasn't playing Resistance 2 instead. So thank you Rock Band, and I apologize to the people here who got sick during this sappy story.

Nice. What do you think would've happened if it had picked Sir Psycho Sexy?

I believe that the proper way to express your gratitude is to have her moan HMXSean's name once while in "the throes of passion".
She might look at you funny when you say "Call me HMXSean, baby.", but it really is the right thing to do!

The best part of this post is the use of, "going steady".
I literally felt like he was going to tell us he took Sue to the sock hop after.

lucky bastard!
oh i donno maybe one day she'll open up to video games and such. she told me when her brother first bought RB in january she sang a few songs like "Should I Stay or Should I Go" but eventually lost interest
I've been without an xbox for the past few weeks, but she knows of my addiction to RB. Here's to hoping one day she gives it another chance

well it think it's because me and my girl are into the same type of music, and we are always open to new music, that's why we love RB. :D

ah, gotcha
my girl typically likes top 40 and club music
HOWEVER has put ME onto a lot of good classic rock, but if there were songs on RB she liked, she'd STILL not want to play just for the fact its a game
kinda tight eh? wish she'd be up for it

Gosh darn it, Harmonix! This story only proves that Muse needs to be in Rock Band.
