Queen in Guitar Hero

Just got my latest "Game Informer" and it lists Queen as being one of the artists to be included. Fortunately I've not heard anything about being exclusive, but it sucks that GH is getting Queen first.

I'll try to look at the bright side and hope this means we'll soon be getting some for Rock Band.

Side Note: One of my favorite songs is now going to be on Guitar Hero (Nothing Else Matter by Metallica). I'll have to rent the game I guess so I can play it, but man I HATE guitar hero.

Guitar Hero On Tour Decades has been in stores for a while now, and has a Queen track in it. A track in GH:Metallica will be slightly more interesting since that's a full band game, but still.

Which is good for the company if not for me. I'm one of the relatively few people who dislike The Beatles. I just hope that GH:WT didn't get Bohemian Rhapsody. (I know that most of it doesn't have Guitar or Bass, but they might chart the piano for either)

I saw every song in the setlist for GH: Metallica, and I played almost all of them.
I am not allowed to talk about what is in the game because I signed a non-disclosure agreement.
But I can talk about what is not in the game and I can confirm 100% there is no Queen!

I don't know...word is over at ScoreHero that Queen is among some of the unannounced bands (along with Slayer and Foo Fighters), and in all honesty, ScoreHero is hardly ever wrong/doesn't BS. And with Metallica having covered "Stone Cold Crazy" by Queen, (and several of their cover songs appearing in-game by the original artists), I'd say it's very likely we'll be seeing Queen's "Stone Cold Crazy" in the game.

They did it with GH:WT, they do it with DLC, (Think The Killers) and I'm sure if they have Queen, they would do it with that too.

So while they may have some Queen in the pipeline, it does not rule out HMX also having it, and it really doesn't rule out HMX releasing it before Activision.

I'm not going to speak for HMX, but speaking for myself, I appreciate the fact that they aren't pulled off message, or off their own game plan by the "other guys" who try as they might, by making announcements way, way, way, in advance of reality.

You notice I said TENDS, right. I didn't say it was absolute, but if they know how the "other team" plays, then it's pretty easy to score some cheap points against them. One of the ways is to announce certain things way in advance.

All I'm saying is by announcing it, (or floating a rumor) doesn't exclude the other side from also having it in the pipeline. It just means they said they have it first. :o

I think its more that Activision has no set press release/announcement format. We all know we're getting announcements from HMX once a week about DLC (with the exception of holiday months like recently), and HUGE announcements they partner w/ mtv to hold a press release that's usually announced a couple days before.

Activision just seems to throw random bits of information out there whenever they get word (look at GH:WT setlist.."We've got Hendrix, now we've got Eagles, now we've got Tool, now there's 62 of the 85, now 74!). Same with their DLC....usuallly 2-3 weeks announced at a time.

I will definitely have to rent GH:Metallica now (Simply for Queen and "Nothing Else Matters"), but no way I am buying it after how much I hated GHWT.

Well at least now we know they're willing to sign on to music games. All we have to do is wait now.

Who knows? They may have them already. We never know what HMX has under their sleeves.

After all, Guitar Hero does often try to get a jump on things first, they've already announced like 2 months worth of DLC.

Not necessarily. I've heard corporations can force sites like YouTube to release said uploader's information to them. And having been a play tester myself before, uploading videos or any info on it whatsoever is a violation of contract.

yeah, but how easy would it be to go to someone's house/library and upload a video on an account just created at that ip address? But I remember hearing something when the GTA4 leaked versions were going out that microsoft was banning anyone who had the achievements before the release date, I doubt they do that with every game, but if he wanted to prove that he had an early copy he could post his gamertag so people could check his achievments. I dunno I just doubt that multiple sources would report queen being in the game and it not happening.
