View Full Version : USB hub requires unplug/replug every time 360 is started?

I tried to search for this, but thankfully the forum software is set up to not allow searches for words under 4 characters, which sorta rules out "usb" and "hub". I didn't see anything in the first 6 or 7 pages, so hopefully I'm not repeating.
Every time I fire up my 360, none of the instruments activate. The hub's green light fires up, but nothing on the actual instruments. If I go over, take the hub out of the USB port on the 360 and plug it back in again, everything works fine. I'm thinking that that isn't quite right, and while obviously not deal-breaking, it is on the annoying side. Any ideas on how to fix the issue?
EDIT: Should mention that yes I have it plugged in to the electrical outlet, and I have it on the front port as the back port is currently taken up by the wireless network adapter.

Same for me. No big deal. Just unplug the hub from your 360 when you're done playing. When you wanna start again, turn on the 360, then plug it back in.

I just push the button on the device and it starts right up. I don't have to reconnect anything.

Make sure that the hub has a power light when nothing is plugged into it and it is not plugged into the xbox. I ran into this problem with the usb hub (haven't tried to replace it yet since the support page tells me to call them and I have the generic phobia of phones. :p).

I don't have the power light unless it's plugged in to the 360, in fact, said power light is out unless I take it out and replug it back in. Oddly enough, I also have that phobia of phones. Go fig.
Maybe I'll be adding that to my list of peripherals going back. That being said, I love this game, I wouldn't be going through this trouble if I didn't. I've only made it to medium on drums (I've been doing expert on guitar for a good year or so), but playing Epic on med. drums has me hooked the same way the first Guitar Hero did.

I'm having the same issue too. I've just been re-plugging it when I turn the box on.
A little annoying, but pretty minor compared to the other hardware problems...

I also don't have a power light on my hub when it isn't connected to the 360. I get the problem the OP poster has, but only sometimes.
