I have an idea for a new game. It is a simuilation where you play a member of Harmonix who has to sort through thousands of relentless complaints from ungreatful jerks even though you have just released the greatest music based game in history. Kudos to Harmonix and everyone else involved with Rock Band...it is truely a wonderful game. I have some little compliants here and there, but they will never overshadow the genious that is Rock Band.

GREAT JOB!

I LOVE THIS GAME!

P.S. You will see my suggestions and constructive criticism in other threads because I really think you do care about improving every aspect of this game now that it is released. With the downloadable content and patchability, this game can be a true platform unto itself.

That doesn't sound like a very fun game.

People paid 170 for stuff that broke right out of the box.

I don't blame them.

and it isn't THAT bad.

man, I payed $170 for the greatest game ever, (even if my guitar broke instantly) one of the most fun weekends of my life, and uniting my friends more than i've ever seen. Kudos HMX, you guys are seriously the best.

Wow, I hope they spend about three years testing that game before they release it, or they're going to get a lot of complaints. :)

I AGREE about this being the greatest game ever. But if there was rockband hero your complaints would be capped at 260000 unless you solved them on expert lol

My **** broke but I didn't complain.

I kept all the boxes because I knew stuff was going to break. The bass pedal has such an obvious weak spot, I'm going to duct tape it in that spot before I start using my new one. My whammy bar broke like three minutes after my pedal. How can you complain if your going to get another one for free?

This game tears GH a new *******, you've got to be insane to say it isn't that bad.

P.S.

PATRIOTS SUCK!

Eagles should have won.

Yeah,

The whole point of this thread was to put in check the people who talk as if their world is falling apart because of a few features that were or were not included. The broken hardware could be a result of bad shipping techniques for all we know. My stuff works great and I am shocked that they could make a drum kit alone like this that could sell for $170. I agree with the fan capping based on difficulty gripes and the headset adapter compliants. I am not the happiest with the strum bar on the guitar or the sensitivity of the drum pads, but so much of the game works so well that I can't see how people are crying that they "wasted" their money on this "sorry excuse for a game."

From some of the things I've seen this game would definitely be rated M

The greatest music based game of all time? Hell yeah.
But is it functional? Hell no. -_-

We're not jerks becuase our equipment broke. Are you an ******* for giving the game a good review becuase you had a good experience from it? no. Why are we *******s for giving bad reviews for having a bad experience?

I love the game and it's fun but it's also broken. If I could ACTUALLY talk to WHOEVER is responsible for it, I would say "man i LOVE your game but the controller gave out after a couple of hours, what gives?! Other than that you need an online BWT option, keep up the good work I'm anxious to see another game."

Stop brown nosing.

I hear you man,

My point was what you stated in your last paragraph. There are more sonctructive ways to give criticism than "this game totoally sucks!"

Yeah, I was disappointed by some things about the game, but I never let it deter my experience. It is a great game with a few tweaks that (we're hoping) will be resolved in the future, which will only improve the quality of the game and gaming experience.

It is weird. If somebody told me that they spent 170 and 2 instruments broke within 2 days, i think they'd be furious and return the game, or probably even file a class action.

I still love the game, although I am baffled at their quality control. And I'm furious that they didn't say anything about PS3's compatibility problems, even though i'm not one of those victims. I think that is purely irresponsible no matter how they spin it.

I still love the game.

I can see both sides of the argument....

Yes, it is disappointing (and infuriating to some) to spend $170 (which is *unparalleled* on a video game) on a game and have it break the first few days of playing.... such early failure doesn't bode well for the overall longevity of the instrument-controllers....

However, look at what sony charges for a single controller. $50 for measly little gamepad which has less than 1/5 the material of the guitar controller and DOESN'T EVEN COME WITH A FREAKING USB CABLE to recharge it (ridiculous!).... and suddenly the rock band combo looks like a pretty good deal:

-The drums alone probably cost almost $50 to make with the molded pieces, four aluminum tubes, 4 pads and the pedal.....

-The microphone is a bonafide, legitmate microphone

-The guitar doesn't suffer from any problems that we have already seen with GH controllers (the first ones also malfunctioned a lot... though usually it was the star power that wouldnt' activate).

I think that HMX/EA did expect problems with the hardware... but I think that was a choice they had to make in order to hit the $170 price point.

Here is a question: Would you rather have paid $50 more for a bundle with instruments that were more robust?

What about Rock Band Hero by Activision where all the instruments don't break and all Guitar Hero guitars work just fine.
